Rusty-

Would love a scan of the Owner's Manual. I keep searching for one on ebay, hard to find. Saw that the toolbox runs around $200 plus shipping. Mighty pricey for a piece of stamped tin.
FYI, Trollhole rebuilt my original carb recently and it runs like a champ. I used some silicon tape around the top of the carb (where it meets the air intake), which has made all the difference, keeping the oil fed from the valve cover in the carb.

I doubt I will find those. I am still trying to figure out were the windshield reservoir went on these vehicles.

There is plenty of room on the front fender, even some holes. The original nozzle still works, but I think a generic replacement would be fine through the holes in the cowl supports.

I am stickler for original. I grabbed windshield wiper reservoir off a 1967 Corona. They have the same bottle but a different bracket. They also have different nozzles. I know that crowns that the same set up.

Did you end up replacing your tie rods?

Original tie rods still in. Been replacing ball joints as I find them. I think you could get original nozzles off a junker in California.

The bottom ball joints are the same as an early Hilux 69-72. I switched out the upper A-arms from a 69-78 Toyota pick up so I could use the newer upper ball joints. You can do a disc brake swap if it is 75-78. I keep the discs just in case I run into trouble someday.

A company called Rare Parts makes the upper ball joint. You need to look up 1966 pick up. They are $92.00 bucks a piece though.

You know of any junkers in Cali? I think it was a rare option.

Rusty,

Do you have part numbers for the upper control arms? The disc brake option for the future would be a plus.

Here are some possible sources for the Nozzles:

Carlyn Dinkler, North Carolina, THE expert on 1965-70 Corona RT43/52, the 1969-72 Corona Mark II RT6#/7#, and the 1970-73 Corona RT8#/9#. A bunch of these parts work with 3RB. He also stocks engine labels. He might just have OEM nozzles in stock.

Salsipuedes Auto Wreckers, Watsonville California. They have a number of stouts they are parting out, including interior parts.
They are on Facebook and have some Stouts featured.

Phone: 831-728-1551. They don't seem to mind going out to the parts trucks and checking for even the most obscure part.

I just got a hilux parts book. I will get those upper arm part numbers. When you ordered your oil pan gasket what was the part number?

Thanks

Rusty- Good to hear from you.
I got the oil plug gasket and new plug from Carlyn (see above). Here is the info he sent me:
(P07) 1 90341-25010/25043/25054 PLUG, OIL PAN
DRAIN........................................................... 7.95S
REPLATED............................................................................
4.58L
(G14) 1 90430-25013/25003 GASKET, OIL PAN
PLUG........................................................ 1.26S

I got the oil pan gasket from Mike Bingham at Cabe Toyota, here is the part of his email: "Valve cover gasket is 13.32 grommets for studs 2.21x2 seal for PCV tube
.98x2 oil pan gasket 19.90 all in stock" SO, shoot him an email.

Well shoot the RN12 book I received cut out the chassis portion. Apparently its in the RN11 parts manual. I will locate one someday.

The control arm shafts are the same. They are not as long as the original unit but enough play to align the wheels.

This guy might have the correct spindle and brake backing plate as well. Then you can purchase new rotors and brake units. I am saving mine for a rainy day. Also might need a proportioning valve.

I ended up ordering my oil pan gasket from Carlyn. Very easy to deal with.

Purchased! Glad you had a good experience with Carlyn, he is the guru for 60s Toyotas!

All you need to find now is some 75 to 78 spindles and the backing plates for a front disc conversion.

Yes, they pulled a number of smalls -- like door pulls, wiper arms -- and shipped. If I recall, I talked to a lady who said it would be no problem. Did you see that Erick is selling one of his Stouts out in California?
