New price of a BJ42

Having a hard time finding anyone that has proof of what a 80-84 bj42 cost new from the dealer?

Lotsa guys in the 40 section still have original wimdow stickers but nobody can confirm the prices on a 42. Figured you BC guys might have a little more info.

My 79 bj40 came from the original owner. Pretty sure it was 14k but I could be wrong, and I've long since lost the paperwork.

I think I remember the original owner of my '83 Toyota pickup 4x4 saying it cost him between $8k-$9k. $14k ish would make sense for the Land crusier

Mine'll look that nice some Day... unless I go back to Freebourne Red. I'm torn between Red, Blue, White... but the metal work and build need to be finished first.

I have my FJ40 in the shed. In all pieces, when it comes to paint it will be stock. Funny, my 60 is
Ford colour from a Mustang, my BJ74 is going to be non stock when the paint hits it this summer.
But to me, 40's should be stock Don't know why.

Yup agreed! Mine exterior was painted a shade darker then freeborn but the interior is all still original freeborn. It will be going back to freeborn next winter when i do my aluminum 3/4 tub
