I'd like to know if there are any *active* overlanding or land cruiser/yoda groups in Mississippi - I'd like to meet up and share ideas and adventures, near and far.

Salient Coast Overland on Facebook.

Also look at the thread in this forum Mississippi Day Trips. I have about 3000 miles of backroads mapped under See and Eat Mississippi

Just spend two hours on this chase ... thanks Nolen. I think I live just down the road @ Hwy 51 from you. Twin Cedars.

he charged me $280 for 2 f40 seat frames that we half-assed.........

and used 2 different finishes on the 2 batches I brought him and offered nothing but an "oops"

glad there is someone else taking on the bigger stuff. id gladly pay them or Chris over the now closed shop "off boring street"

smh

Jason is the real deal. He invested a TON of money and to do it right. I don't even powder any more because of it. Its cheaper for me to let him do it and its done right. As a matter of fact, I ONLY started doing it because Robin sold his stuff and Jason was not up and running yet. Now he does 100% of my powder. Even though I am moving into a new building and would have some room, I'm still not doing it.

I was wondering about that. Totally makes sense

I checked with them on high temp ceramic for headers and manifolds and he told me that his ceramics are for lower heat applications. I was comparing to a jet hot coating and he informed me that jet hot is a completely different process and he would recommend that for these higher temp applications. Just an FYI if anybody was looking.

Jet-Hot is the s***. Very easy to work with, quick turn around, and top-notch quality. It's spendy, though...
Yup. They quoted me $550 for a header and intake for a 2f. I cover shipping.

@dbbowen , got any pics of your header?

Here it was fresh from ricks powder coating.

I can take some when I get home. It’s been on the 40 for a while and through 4 or so wheeling trips and still looks brand new. I cruise at 3,000-3,500 rpm for 15 or so miles one way to work and back with it too. No issues with the heat. This is with a 2f and 4speed. Hasn’t even been cleaned off or anything. Its holding strong. Still looks exactly like this, and is very bright through the fender well of lee majors. Get compliments on it all the time surprisingly.

I dont recommend the black ceramic coat though, it looks cooler, but chips off very easily. Ricks recoated with the chrome looking stuff for free

The color match these guys did for the faded Mustard yellow is spot on.

The round plug is a plumbing piece I found they he did so I could cover up a monster hole in the cowl
