I got the dang thing working!!!! The wires are switched though (I press up and it goes down, minor inconvience for now). But holy smokes it actually works!

I'm still waiting for my nylon gear before I dive in. I'm thinking the gear is a special blend of plastic and "unobtainium" because they can't find it anywhere (or so they say in while slacking behind the parts counter).

I'm jealous. I would love to have a back hatch that opened.

Getting a new nylon gear is easy. But, don't go to the parts counter and ask for a new nylon gear...ask for "Part Number 72751-39020"

I don't have a toyota dealer in town. I have to use the GM dealer. I tried it without the # before I read your post and got nowhere. The smartguy behind the counter informed landcruisers don't have power windows from the factory.

I've given them the number twice and heard "it will be here Friday" twice. The last time I called I was told they would need the number again to look it up and see if it came in. I'm going to call them again.

I'm going to AZ next week; I think after the tells me no for the third time I'll call a dealer in AZ and grab it while I'm there.

Thank god the engine is a chebby or I'd be screwed.
I can hear the parts guy now "what's a birfield?"

Just call CDan. He can get it to you cheaper and mostlikly faster than some GM douche or some guy in AZ.
