I've done some work to my truck recently. I painted the lower rocker panels black, and installed a lock rite in the rear end.

Its riding on 33x12.5's, stock suspension with AAL's in back to help with the sag it had. Trimmed the fenders to remove rust, and clear the larger tires.

Couple pics the day after I first got my truck :hillbilly:

And after I trimmed the fenders and put on some 33's, I still run these tires. I put the swampers on this weekend, going wheeling at the end of the week here :grinpimp:

And a picture after I painted the truck, the clear coat was peeling on the bed, and I needed to repair some of the rust.

And one last picture, from this winter after I welded my sliders on.

Thank you :)

For the fenders I first marked them all with a sharpie. The rear fenders I used a cut off wheel, and on the front fenders I used a jigsaw which worked much better. I cut a half inch inside of the lines, leaving metal to bend back for a lip. I then carefully bent the lip using a pair of small channel lock pliers, 15* at a time working from one end to the other. This kept a factory look, and stiffened up the fenders :)

wow! you have made one extremely clean yota! danm that looks good! it has to be the best looking pickups i have ever seen. you said that you widened that fenders? what do you mean? it doesnt look like you cut anything off. not that there is a whole lot that you can cut off to begin with. i cut the fenders on mine but it didnt look like that.

Wow, one of the best ? Thanks :)

I didn't widen anything. I bent a lip into the fenders after cutting them out, to give it a factory look. I didn't take any pictures of doing this though, I should have.

( im not crazy) awesome two tone idea. i was gonna put a vinly sticker in the same place that you have the stripe and have all the names of the things that i have on and in my truck cut out of the sticker. after seeing how awesome your truck looks i think im really gonna do it!

one more post saying how nice it is!

Again thanks guys :)

I will try to take a picture of the fender lip. With the edges rolled back, I didn't feel that I needed to sand the edges smooth. Also the edges were not that rough, the jigsaw left a clean edge.

I do have a this picture, though it doesn't show the inside of the lip. This was taken before I finished wet sanding the orange peel.

I live in White bear Lake, there are a few lakes around here :D

Your truck is absolutely awesome. Fantastic job. I really like what you did with painting the lower half black. It looks really sharp, and I'm planning on doing the same with my truck at some point.

Thanks :)

I do not know if I will do anything else with it... But here is a list of what I would like to do in the order that I would do them.

* New rear bumper, current one looks out of place with the sliders and new front bumper.
* Dual transfer case
* SAS

And there are some smaller details I might do as well, but they are in no order of importance.

* Hurculine the bed, need to fix some large rust holes first.... One side is finished.
* Weld up a seat frame, so I can remove the spacers in the back of the seats.
* Build a small center console
