Update - just finished installing the caster shims as recommended/discussed and following a circa 10 mile test drive, I’m pleased to report the handling is much improved. Still a little play in the steering but that’s expected and I’m used to that from driving old land rovers and my old WW2 Willys jeep. What’s been eliminated is the sudden unexpected wondering across the road which was always a challenge to ‘catch’. I went with 3 degree shims which should give me circa 2.5 degree positive caster. Many thanks for all that helped with my post and looking forward to the next problem/issue ( maybe not looking forward) where I’m sure I’ll be fortunate for similar assistance.
