New Member Intro

Hey guys, just wanted to say high and introduce myself. Been reading the forum occasionally for a while but had never taken the time to join. Finally decided to jump in after picking up a 16 Land Cruiser. Couldn't be happier so far. Still have a 2000 LX 470 we purchased about 10 years ago. Great vehicles.

Hope to learn a lot as I have a son getting ready to turn 16 and I'm hoping he and I can make a little project out of the LX.

These are the only two I have taken. I'll have to take some good ones as time and circumstance allows. Had to do a short haul with boat just to make sure all was good.

Wow. That boat DWARFS your 2 handy! How much does it weigh with the trailer?

The boat runs 4950 or so lbs empty. It has a 56 gallon tank and then add normal lake goods. I figure trailer weighs 800 or so but that's just a guess. The GMC pulled it ok. I say ok as I had a one ton dually and nothing seems completely adequate in comparison. The short 5-6 miles I tried hooked up to the new addition seemed to compare closely to the GMC. I will report back on that when spring arrives. I never got to try the 470 as it doesn't have a hitch.

This is pushing the limits of the 200. 6500lb dry, 154 gallon fuel plus twins and trailer. I try to tow as dry as possible. This is quite a while ago before and upgrades. Always tow in manual mode and keep the revs up. It's does not like 6th gear. I don't really tow that much so I'm not all that concerned. If I go any * I won't be able to tow at all.
You won't have any trouble.

Welcome. I just ordered a grey 2016 lc. Any way of tracking through Toyota?

Not sure on the tracking. We found one a dealer already had. My wife really wanted the Tera interior. Finally found the black/tera in Mentor, Oh.

Crazy part found a few grey Lcs but no one wanted to trade to the more local dealer to myself. Find it crazy but their loss.
