After a couple months of searching, I finally found the one I was looking for. It's a '17 in Brandywine Metallic with Terra interior (hard combo to come by) with 27k miles. We've decided to name it Big Ron (cause it's burgundy). I've had it a month now and couldn't be happier. What a smooth ride! So smooth it's making it hard to modify, worrying I may mess up the ride, but that's not what I bought it for.

It is not my daily driver, we bought it to have a little fun, so modding seems like a necessity😉. I'm going to start with Slee sliders and some 275/70 R18 K02's (it's my understanding these will fit with stock suspension), and figure the rest out as I go.

I am a total rookie when it comes to offroading (minus a fun year owning an Isuzu Trooper about 25 years ago!), but am looking forward to learning. We are planning a trip to Utah in January or February to visit some friends and hopefully hit a few trails. In the meantime I'm going to spend some time at a couple local ORV parks to get the feel for it (already got it's first pin striping).

I look forward to decades of fun with this thing, and my wife and two boys and I can't wait for the experiences to come.

Jeff

Welcome from Ron’s home town:flipoff2:

In the first picture, how did you get wheels muddy yet paint and running board still clean?!?! That’s some exact mudding!

I know! Upset me a little, too. I wanted to get it dirty!! It was a slow crawl through a mud pit that I set up left on and immediately pushed me right, right into a bunch of branches that gave me my new pinstripes. Then started snowing pretty heavy and cleaned the whole thing off by the time I made it home. Will try harder next time!

Hello from Overland Park! Where was the first picture taken?
Hey! Tuttle Creek ORV... my first time there and started snowing like crazy after about 2 hours, so didn't get to see much. Went back today and had a blast! That place is pretty cool. Thinking about going again Saturday or checking out Kansas Rocks.

What does San Diego mean?

Literally, it means “Saint James”
but “San Diego” was the name of one of the early explorer’s ships. He named the area San Diego...and that be it.

-Subjectively it means a slightly less-crazy corner of California (at least at my house). 😬

I like that brandy wine color much better than my red salsa. My 100 series is more burgundy (mahogandy pearl) than my 200 series and has similar colors to your brandy wine. But I am color blind so what do I know.
That mahogany pearl does look pretty close. In person the brandywine has a ton of gold flecks in it. I would really like to see what those bronze wheels off the new heritage edition LC would look like on it😉. Anyway, I like your taste in cruiser colors (colorblind or not)!

I got the BFG KO2s, in 275/70 R18, installed Wednesday. Obviously had to go back to the trails to test them out. Stock wheels and suspension and no rubbing. I tried my hardest to get it muddier this time, but I think the mud flaps are holding me back.

You’re such a disappointment. You are this | <—>| close to being banned....

That is a nice looking rig, for sure. Welcome to the madness.

Awesome! Looks like the kiddo is having a good time too, let him have a crack at it? :steer:
