I was wondering if anyone had any reccomendations for upholsterers in the San Diego area? I am debating on getting new leather from Shane and am trying to figure out what it may cost for install in our area. I am also debating doing the install myself but have zero experience with upholstery. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure almost everyone in here, had no experience before doing their's. I've read it comes with pretty good instructions and all the tools you need. I say go for it! Unless that's your DD, just take your time.
Shane's package is a good deal if you need to replace all leather on both front seats. All I need is the drivers seat cushion and he wants $260 +shipping which seems like a lot to me. I'm going to remove it myself and see if I can find someone local to rebuild it.

Thanks guys. I will see if I can get ahold of Noah and see how his install went. I am not too shy about jumping in over my head on projects like this. My concern would be accidentaly poking a hole in or tearing the leather during install. This is not my DD yet but I do plan on getting there. Have a lot of PM to do first.
The funny thing is this intall is sort of for my wife. It is phsycological with her, the nicer it looks the more confidence she will have in it and the more likely she will go on rides. To her if it looks bad its going to break down a mile down the road.
I think Shanes leather is a pretty good deal. Granted it is a better deal if you buy a whole set but that is the nature of the beast I think.

shane's leather is top notch. Seriously, top notch quality. I am not sure I would even take on a project like this. It takes ALOT OF TIME to do it right. It is something anyone can do but you have to be meticulous in how things go together and constantly use the other seat as an example. It is alot of work. I would be happy to show you my seats if you come by. By far, it is worth the time and expense. It has transformed my interior.
