Hey all. Long time reader first time poster. Snagged a local (CO) 2020 HE with 52k recently and am having Tru Automotive (Denver) install a Magnuson supercharger. The supercharger actually just showed up yesterday so it might be getting installed next week.

Truck came with BB sliders. Throwing on some ASFIR skids (good black friday deal). Final stage will be 34s on whatever polished wheel looks good and has good backspacing, accutune custom tuned Fox 2.5s, a KDSS relocate and call it good for hopefully a while.

Are you tuning the engine for the supercharger?

Edit: Looks like they have updated their fitment guide including tuning to through '21.

Alright, installed and have a few hundred miles on the new SC.

Of note, the SC was installed at the same time as a bilstein 6112 lift kit with 35 inch Kenda Klever RT tires and some trimming.

How does it feel? Like it always should have, to be short. To be long? I have no fear of passing. On long hills up i70 outside of Denver it just sits between 2700-3100 rpm and pulls like a beast when I want to move. If I don't want to move I feel plenty of power below that. There's more power pretty much everywhere in the range of RPMs and very little noise when I'm not getting into it around town. Weird side note and an unexpected outcome, I'm getting mid 16's for MPG since installing and was getting 13.3 before the blower on stock size tires. Not sure what gives there but I'll take it!

would love to see a blown 8 speed and regeared 8 speed side by side.

Bravo with the kit. I swore i would never get a blower but one of the reasons I bought a ‘19 was in case I change my mind down the road. After seeing Larry chen’s tundra build I’m having second thoughts.

To be perfectly honest if I lived at sea level I wouldn't have pulled the trigger but these things struggle for air up here. Next step is definitely a re-gear and some lockers though. I miss the mechanical grip I had in my Grenadier.

Awesome. Wish I had that pulling my trailer on Rt 70 west of Denver this past summer.

Awesome! I will be ordering mine on Monday. Going to be a father/son project so we're going to take our time with the install.

Love it, how was the install and any surprises?

Did you dump your grenadier? If so why?

Is that MPG difference from what the dash tells you or from real-world calculation? If it's the dash, it may be that it doesn't know that it has larger injectors. The pulse of the new injectors delivers a larger volume of fuel per unit time compared to stock and so the computer judges shorter pulse width and therefore calculates less fuel consumption in error.

If that's a real difference, however, that's an awesome side benefit in addition to all the other SC goodness.

I really would love to do this to my truck. I don't want to affect the long term reliability. I know Toyota used to offer the same SC as a TRD Pro model for the tundra. I have a 2019 LC 200. A dealer about 1.5 hours from me will do it. Thoughts?

What was the total cost, and did you have a good experience with that shop?
