I do still love them! They are such great quality! I cut off the plug from the factory steps and have some rock lights that I want to install and connect to the original wiring. Its on the list of things that I still need to get done. All of the lighting still comes on it just does not illuminate user the doors of the truck like it does with the factory steps installed.

Thank you tons! I guess I'll order some rock lights to go with the sliders then =)

What is the trick to removing the stock grille? I have the 4 bolts off, but the lower clips at the base of the grille I'm having trouble with. I cannot find any instructions online on how to remove them and I don't want to damage the bumper cover or stock grille.

I can't be certain since I have a different design, but if they are like the 2014+ clips (blade style) then there is a catch in the middle on the underside that needs to be squeezed flat to release and go through. You might be able to do it with your fingers, but if not you can use a pair of pliers.

I put on a set of the SSO sliders and they are Awesome! Here are a few pictures, they are a little muddy as the wife was on a few county roads today. Quality was excellent!!

Hi,
I'm new here and try to sneak some ideas from the GX460 world :-) I live in Sweden/Europe and we have Toyota Prado 150´s here, which are very similar, but not the same.

As eveyone on the planet (almost...) I'm trying to figure maximum tire/wheel size now when about to order new...
When I saw your car, with some nice add to it, I am curious what size you have on the new tires, as well as what wheels and offset. Looks great!! :-D

Here's my current one for reference: 2016 Prado 150, before mods. (Sidesteps are gone since last weekend)

Who'd you buy your grill from please? I ordered one from Lexusautoparts.com and the first one arrived loose in the shipping box and broken. Did the RMA process and specifically told them that if they didn't put some protection in the box the same thing would happen. Of course the next one arrived loose in the box and broken as well (no damage to outside of box). Did another RMA, waited a month and heard nothing, called and was told I needed to submit an RMA. "I submitted one. a month ago" they check, "Oh here, we found it". Then they refunded me and closed the order when they were supposed to ship a third time. So three months and two RMA's and still no F-sport Grill.

Do you have the petrol or diesel?
I know they may be literately on the other side of the planet, but the Aussie's have a lot of options for the Prado's! Bumpers, sliders, racks, and the list goes on.
Just from your photo above, looks like you have some awesome country up there for off roading and overlanding!
Keep us posted on how your build comes along. I'm sure there are many other "Prado's" out there that are not from North America who would love to learn what they can and can't do to their rigs.

Not sure my post end up in the correct thread here, but... :)
Mine (as all of these in Europe) has the 2.8 diesel. Bit boring, but works...

Thx - yes, nature is great in Sweden. Very similar to Canada, or parts of Alaska, I think. Allowed to drive anywhere, as long as there are roads, trails och vehicle tracks of some kind. Same with camping - everywhere, except nearby private houses.

OK, since the above I have made some real changes to my Prado 150.
Here are some sample photos: (Incl. Kaymar Rear Bumper, AFN front bumper, Warn 12000, some lights, Rival skidplates, Ironman 2.5" liftkit, BFG KM3´s 285/70/17 ET0. Most things ordered from a mix of Australia, Portugal, South Africa and the US.

That is a great looking rig you have there!
Too bad there's no practical (read: cheap) way of getting my rig over to Europe for some overlanding. Looks like some incredible off roading and adventures to be had!
Also, do you have a link for that AFN front bumper? Very nice lines on that front bumper.
Keep the photos coming!

Many many mods planned, yesterday I had LED's installed across the rig. They look great. I ordered an f sport grille, it has yet to come in. Suspension is soon to follow. I'm still in he research phase, but will most likely go the bilstein5100's route. I've had great experience with bilsteins on past rigs, and have seen a couple other gx's outfitted the same. However I may go a little more extreme. I'd like to remove running boards and replace with Prado rocker panels but it may be hard to source parts. Here's some after pics or LED's. So far I'm very pleased with the vehicle. I will update as mods get completed.

Do you have the part numbers for all of the LED lights? Were they difficult to replace?

Thx! I will try and be more freqvent with photos from my travel :-)

The bumper is from the company AFN and they have resellers in various countries. Not sure exactly where, outside Europe though. Here's a link to their page: AFN - Toyota Land Cruiser 150
They deliver military spec quality, which is always nice :-)
