First off, I have been following this amazing forum for some time now and wanted to thank so many of you for your knowledge and willingness to help people. With that I thought maybe I could join and maybe I could help someone someday as well.

Since I am here, I might as well ask a question about installing ignition coil springs for the 2UZ FE. Is there a trick to getting those in the coil without distorting the spring?

I will start my IH8 Mud career with that. Thanks to all of you.

Yes. Basically screw them in. If you do it in the correct direction it will make the spring coil smaller and it will just kind of thread in.

Great! So just grab the cross section of the spring with some needle nose pliers and screw "with the grain" of the spring and it will slowly work in? Makes sense thank you!

Yes, that's what worked for me. Similar driving in a helicoil.

ETA: after thinking about it, I can't remember if the key was to screw it in or wind it up so the diameter was smaller. But you'll figure it out pretty fast.
