New Clutch will not shift?

I'm sure a carb that's not running right will kill power. Popping out of 2nd sounds like a trans issue, not a clutch issue. Are you sure you're getting it all the way into 2nd gear? Pull the shifter out and make sure your shifter seat isn't worn out.

Ok///Ya i reckon shifter seat prolly is toast...since everything else was on this truck...And yes somtimes i have to hold it down in second..kinda pops out easy...all other gears are fine...And yes i am HOPING that i get a little more ooomph with new carb...I put new block in ..thought i would have some improvement?...It is nothing like my 2wd which powers and cruises like butter...I thank you all for any tips!..C
