Heres the deal I put a new clutch in the white truck(1985 Toyota extra cab, 5 speed 4x4) cause the old one was slipping so bad. Let me back up the reason it failed is cause of all the oil that the engine was leaking on to it. I changed all the gaskets on the back of the engine once I pulled the trans. Put in NEW flywheel, ASIN clutch, SECO pressure plate , pilot / throw out bearing .

Now the truck runs great and quite at idle or if you rev up the engine. Once you get past the 1” free travel of the clutch and it actually starts to engage everything the noise starts. It sounds like when you were a kid and would put playing cars on you bicycle forks and let them touch the spokes(best way I could describe the sound) The more you press the louder the sound / vibration gets .

The truck will move forward and back up. Making me think the clutch is working but noisy when you try to use it. Any ideas what went wrong?

We pulled the trans tonight and checked it out again.Nothing bent or lose parts floating around in there.. Throw out bearing flat side is facing the trans round / bevel side is facing the pressure plate .:meh: Don't know what it is.
