Hi everyone,
I recently noticed that my clutch pedal seemed a bit softer than usual. I looked in the master reservoir and it was almost dry. I then looked under the dash and the master is leaking from the rod boot on the interior firewall.
I obviously need to change the master, but I will also change the slave and the hydraulic hose. I will order the Aisin CMT032 master, and the Aisin CRT021 slave (Toyota is out of their mind with the price on the master $261.46 list!!!!!). Aisin is the OEM manufacturer for Toyota so what am I missing with the major price disparity?

I can order an "upgraded" stainless steel hose from SOR for probably close to $60.00 by the time SOR charges their shipping charges or the Dorman hose ($8.00) (Dorman H77376). Is the SOR SS hose really an upgrade? Will I notice any real difference?

Thank you everyone!

No. You're pushing against a spring with your clutch pedal. SS clutch lines look nice, I got one (not from SOR) and seem to last but I can't feel a difference.

Lots of places will make you a hose with any ends that you want, whatever length you need while you wait and generally cheaper than through the mail.
