Time to start giving the old dog some love. I recently got hired on with the city of Colorado Springs as the senior maintenance electrician for parks and rec. going to be a sweet gig, but I lose my work van, so the red rocket is going back into daily driver status.
Picked this ARB up last year sometime on craigslist for 50 bucks. It was beaten, bent, cut on, and spray painted. It took a couple of very, very big hammers and a lot of time to get it this straight. Took a whole ten pack of cut off wheels to make it look nice and make it fit, and had to get some hacked in mounts cut off of it. Guy I bought it from had it on a Cherokee, no one really knows what it was designed for, but the guy thought it might have come off of a Nissan xterra. It sure does fit my Toyota nicely now. Also picked up a harbor freight 8,000 pound winch for 100 bucks a while back, swapped some suspension work for a tacoma E-locker, and was given a tool box for the bed
Hopefully I'll find a new bed one day, and it's going to get a cammo paint job this summer. I also kept the steel I bought to put rock rails back on the 4runner, which got sold before I got around to that. With a new top end, 4.88 gears, 285/75's, custom front and rear bumpers, rock sliders, Tacoma seats, and winch, this is going to be one cool little truck. So for those of you that thought I had gone to the dark side with the jeeps, I promise I'll still bring out the Toyota on the trails.
