The lift and bumper look great. Did you paint the plastic dash bezel piece around the A/C controls and rear wiper button?

Thanks all for the kind comments!

NorCal- Yeah I painted the bezel. I wanted to match the color around the instrument cluster. The closest match I could find was a Dupli-Color rattle can "green gray".

I will look for that color. I was just thinking about painting mine. Waiting on a switch bracket to install in it. Thanks

You remember where you got the paint? I have been looking around and can't find that color. Kragen had a lot of Dupli-color but not that color.

Got it from Cruiser Outfitters for the price listed on his site. Shipping was free because I picked it up at the ARB warehouse in Seattle.

Isn't the "Beauty, Clark" comment from Strange Brew? Clark was the court officer that offered up the bullets to stop the nose bleed (Hey Clark, can we get a couple of your bullets?). When it worked, one of the McKenzie brothers said: "Works good - Beauty, Clark!"

new guy here! trying to make mine look just like yours man! sure looks nice! hard to install?

no bumper.webp

PAFJ, I really like the look of your rig. What size wheels and tires you have on that? Those are some skinny tires, you running 255/85r16?

Those don't look skinny at all, I'll guess 33x12.5

Cruisermatt, I think you are looking at the "other guys" pic. PAFJ had pics at the end of page 1. Definitely pizza cutters of some sort.

This was a 6 year old thread that got bumped...them tars be pretty worn by now.

No, the ARB bumper is easy to install on a 60 series, and it comes with all the hardware you need to do the job.

I put one on myself in the garage. Super easy to do! Took about an hour is all. Taking the PTO stuff out took a lot longer!

PTO on a 60 series. Those are rare in the US. On a 40 I have problems with the spline shaft rusting to the yoke where it comes thru the front frame member.

I installed ARB bull bar on my FJ62 a few years back. I bought it used one but everything was there. I used a cheap Harbor Freight transmission jack. Used a ratchet strap to hold it in place. Real easy to do. Was harder to install the 12,000# Harbor Freight winch later. If you have a winch version one of these is a cheap option for a winch. Had I known you could get them this cheap I would have installed it then the bumper on the vehicle. If buy a new ARB it will have the instructions. Used you need to know the FJ62 frame is taller. Early ARBs came in two version. FJ60 and FJ62. Later were the same with washers to fill the space on the FJ60. Because I have a FJ62 I didn't need washers. Maybe someone who needed washer will add if they go on the top or bottom of the frame.

The PTO came with the rig from Japan. I sold it to a guy who is doing a full on Resto. I wanted to wheel mine!

I got my bumper new so it was easy to put in place and my frame was in good shape so I literally benched it into place and stuck the bolts in.
Don't do what I did and put it on the highest setting. It looked goofy! I have since moved it back!
