Well, I guess I’d better let the cat out of the bag, Tammy and I finally decided on the latest addition to the Toyota family over the weekend. Due to the fact that the LX has pretty much become reserved for “rock crawling” and day runs, and the fact that the 4Runner is a little cramped, we started giving some serious thought to a 100 series a few months ago. We drove a couple, but weren’t able to find one that made us want to pull the trigger. Somewhere in the middle of all of this we made a fatal mistake… We drove a 200. After driving both, we just knew that we had to have a 200. We realigned our search from 100’s to used 200’s, but were pretty discouraged with the results. Soooo, after much deliberation and weighing all of the advantages and disadvantages of new vs. used, we threw caution to the wind and bought our dream SUV!!! It was actually the last of the 2013’s in San Diego so we were able to work out a pretty good deal on it, but I’m not going to lie, this wasn’t a decision we took lightly…

So without any further ado, here she is:

Dang... Very nice.

What are your plans for it?

Thanks! Umm, right now, just to leave it stock, kinda diggin' the marshmallow. Well, until we're ready to do a slight lift (≈2") and AT tires. Still waiting for Slee to come up with that kit for 35's;)

I give it 3 months ;)

When are we going wheeling? No rocks, brush or tree branches

They are very rare around here!
We do coilovers and rear shocks for the 200 and we have probably only done a handful in the states. Most go overseas

Congrats. very nice ride.

Freakin awesome! There is a diesel 200 VX with foreign plates that keeps teasing me near my house. I love my 100 but a 200 is definitely in the future plans.

Thanks guys, I'm still trying to figure out how to work all of the gadgets...The manuals are like over 1100 pages combined:eek:

 Wow! Passed on the nice 100 up here I guess then! You must have won the lottery!

No, didn't win the lottery sadly... The guy with the 100 you drove refused to consider anything to actually sell the thing or make it easy for us, like meet us on a weekend or get it smogged and then got real sensitive when I tried talking price...

Yep, I've been looking at them. Maybe there's a set in my future :D

Too bad for the 100 guy! He was out of a job and surely needed the funds from the sale of the truck that I know he really didn't want to part with! You got a beauty tho! LOL on the size of the owners manual! I think the Prius was around 600-700 for the main manual and a couple hundred more on the stereo/gps system! Way to many warnings, etc. to CYA for the lawyers!
