Just picked up a new truck today. It's an 89 Dlx. It's a 2 owner & the last owner only owned it for about a year and has been in Colorado it's whole life. It has 211K miles on it, but has a new "Jasper" mfd engine that was installed back in '03. It's only has 28K on it since then.
Pretty much rust free...the only spot I found so far is a little bubble starting under the paint on the passenger front fender. The interior smells like a smoker & there are some cig burns on the rug/seat & a tear in the headliner above the driver's visor.
It looks like one of the lug's on the back wheel is broken so I have to look into that. The driver's seat belt is frayed too, so I need to replace that.
So, this is my first Toyota and first 4x4 (I recently sold a Subaru Legacy I owned for 10 years). Just curious what kind of things I should do to baseline it before I start to build it up at all. I'm downloading the FSM as I type this and plan to hit all the fluids, but any other weird stuff I should know about?
Where does everyone buy factory Toyota parts online?
Here's a few pics
