Moving sale!

UPDATE: MOVING SALE!

I will be leaving the country on Sunday the 20th. I am having a 5 day sale for the old girl which includes all the extra's from a previous posting: https://forum.ih8mud.com/sale-parts/304462-stuff-sale.html and my all my extra fasteners and the fastener cases. See the new pics below!

It’s a sad day.:crybaby: I have recently accepted a position in Australia and will be moving by the end of this month (February). Due to the cost of shipping and hassle to have it registered I am being forced to sell my 64 FJ40. I will be listing the old girl on eBay today with a no reserve starting at $12,500. I would rather have her go to a MUD member that would appreciate and care for the Toy like it deserves. The first $16,000 takes it all.

FOR SALE: NEW! 1964 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40

Why NEW!? Every part on this vehicle has be replaced with new or rebuilt to as new condition.

History: I purchased this FJ40 in 2000, drove for 2 years, I then began a complete frame off resto/mod. Every part was completely disassembled, sand blasted, painted and reassembled with new fasteners. This included every part from the frame/axles to the hard top. The engine, transmission, and transfer case were completely rebuilt and reinstalled. The truck was reassembled over a period of 7 years. Completed in August 2009 she was taken out for her maiden voyage (see pics below). I was unable to drive over the 09/10 winter season as the hard top was not back from paint, and reassembled/installed. In the spring she was back on the road as my weekend warrior. Tragedy then struck in August of 2010. The rear main bearing seized and subsequently cracked the block. This was quite unexpected from a motor with less than 1500 miles on a complete rebuild. This issue was sorted out with the machine shop that did the work, but to make it right I needed a new block. The new block (F155 F342379 Feb 1971) has been sourced via help from the MUD community, and subsequently installed in the truck. This vehicle will have <50 miles on the new motor. During this down time I have installed the hard top and have reassembled the hard doors.

I LOVE this truck and spent many hours on making it what it is today. It was not designed to put in a show, although it could. It was designed to be used and enjoyed. I have driven the truck off-road and on the highway. It handles and drives beautifully in both environments. I am sure I have left out items as there were so many and the process has taken me so long. All documentation of purchases and work can be made available, as well as all repair and service manuals.

A 10% deposit is required within 24 hours full payment to be paid within 7 days and/or delivery. Delivery not included, but can be discussed. Sales are final. The only other condition is; If you buy her and decide to sell in the future I get first chance to purchase.

Below are a few pics. There are many more posted here on MUD. If you have any questions shoot me a PM or call on 574 536 6681.
