Thnaks for the link lots of good info there. the only part of all that info is the part about the cold start injector. The pump runs on a switch on the dash so it doesnt have to go thru a relay in the airbox. didnt have a chance ot try to unplug it tonite. Where do you check the fuel pressure??? Have pulled the return line when it wont start and there is plenty of fuel passing thru just dont know the psi.

The Fuel pump runs all the time when you turn the switch on the dash on. No doubt that the pump is not on. the only question about the pump is whether it is making enough pressure. Any tricks to test this??? What would happen to the psi if I pinched off the return line? The regulator controls the psi by limiting the return fuel correct???

Pat just discovered that it cranks with Ether every time when hot.

Anyone have a good 22RE computer I can try?

you would not be sh*t without Pat. You damned operator.

OK, we have tried all the Roger Brown AFM/22RE cheap tricks. The AFM has been bypassed for fuel start on this rig since it has an E2000 pump. I know the pump is working and the pressure is right. If we pinch off the return, during troubleshoot, the pressure builds up fast.

The newest development is that a shot of ether will fire it up every time and it runs great.

There is SOME sensor that is not letting the motor get the shot of fuel it needs to start when hot.

What I need now is a wiring schematic from a FSM on this computer. We can check the wires to see if they are getting the right power during hot start to track down the sensor that is letting us down.

not sure if alldata has what you need but you are welcome to come by and take a look.

It has to be a sensor since it runs great, starts great cold and hot with a shot of ether. Whatever sensor puts that tiny bit of fuel in the rail when you start it is bad.

Now to find that sensor. Hopefully that diagram to linked will help Pat.

I hate tech threads, they are so boring.

Hurry up and fix this thing Pat!

Sand-Between-the-Toes
BY

Alan Alexander (A. A.) Milne

I went down to the shouting sea,
Taking Christopher down with me,
For Nurse had given us sixpence each-
And down we went to the beach.

We had sand in the eyes and the ears and the nose,
And sand in the hair, and sand-between-the-toes.
Whenever a good nor'wester blows,
Christopher is certain of
Sand-between-the-toes.

The sea was galloping grey and white;
Christopher clutched his sixpence tight;
We clambered over the humping sand-
And Christopher held my hand.

We had sand in the eyes and the ears and the nose,
And sand in the hair, and sand-between-the-toes.
Whenever a good nor'wester blows,
Christopher is certain of
Sand-between-the-toes.

There was a roaring in the sky;
The sea-gulls cried as they blew by;
We tried to talk, but had to shout-
Nobody else was out.

When we got home, we had sand in the hair,
In the eyes and the ears and everywhere;
Whenever a good nor'wester blows,
Christopher is found with
Sand-between-the-toes.

FIX THAT DAMN JUNK PAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If all else fails load it up and take it to Myron Watson on Lakeland Drive. He WILL figure it out. Holla if you need the hook up.
