I hope someone can help me figure out what's going on with my vehicle. It's been stalling when I'm idling at cool down, sometimes not starting after I've stopped for awhile, and twice has just died while I was on the road.
After I wait anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour, it fires right up again. Other than the stalling it's running fine. Is this a fuel delivery problem?

I've taken it in to a local mechanic who used to work for Toyota but he says he needs to see a manual or something. So there's my other problem...as far as I can figure it seems like there ISN'T a manual for the 2lte:confused: I could really use some help locating a manual or combination of manuals that will help get this problem solved!

install a feeder pump back near the tank as see what happens. they are cheap and do increase the performance of the 2LTE at the same time...

That has the 3b in it right? If so, I have a 3b in pdf I can send to you, but its REALLY large. Normally, you can DL it from birfield, but that site has been down for months.

PM me in interested.

Thanks Wayne, I'll see if I can get one from ProActive. I just hope my mechanic here can figure out how to install it.
Have you heard of this problem before?

nah, go to your local Napa, UAP parts source or what ever you have out there and get a generic pusher pump, plumb it in and give it a try...

I would try and find the root cause before I try and fix it;)

What is it idling at?

We already replaced the fuel filter, it didn't help. In fact it died on the road immediately afterwards. Re-started after 20 minutes and drove home as usual:confused:

Not sure, it's not here right now. I don't remember it seeming any different than it used to, though.

What exactly do I ask for at Napa if I want to try the pusher pump? Is that what they're called?

if the part drone is up to snuff it is a fuel pusher pump that is installed as close to the tank as possible. this relievs the strain on the factory fump to suck the fuel from the tank and push it into the injection pump. i "beleive" is it a 1/4" fuel pipe and 12V...

Ok, thanks Wayne. I will check that out. I'm just hoping there's nothing wrong with the factory pump, it's $$ to replace. The guy looking at it doesn't want to mess with it without a manual of some kind, which I can't get anyway.

you can get a brand new one from Dan or Kevin at 4wheel for $1200 (or something like that) not rebuilt, brand new from toyota...
