It seems a bit. I have added the RSG sliders and changed the wheels (Fuel Shok 17x10 with -12 offset) and tires (Falken Wildpeaks AT3W 285/70/17). I forgot to measure from the ground before I swapped wheels and tires, so now I just have the hub measure to compare. I will measure tonight and reply. I have been meaning to do that.

The fronts are adjustable though. I bought the tools to do this (spring compressors and wrench with the little nubby), but haven't yet decided if I will or not.

Yeah, they told me they can set them to 2” but I wonder if that means 3” now and 2” after 6 months of parking an all black truck in the phx sun : )

I was T-Boned yesterday (I'll post photos later when I get a chance...) and my MetalTech sliders REALLY saved the side of my rig!! Just a minor dent in the right rear passenger door and the molding of the front right door. The others guys car (Camery) had the front pushed in about a foot! It was pretty buckled. The right side slider was slightly bent upward. Hardly noticeable and the doors still clear it when opening.
So on that note it's looking like I'll need new sliders.
I've been looking at the RSG sliders ONLY because they look like they stick out further. Which model slider did you go with?
AND, can you PLEASE take some pictures with a ruler showing how far they stick out? Give me a reference of what you're starting point is for measuring, like the door sill with your door open, the edge of the rocker trim or whatever works for you.
AND also, one last request, if you can get a photo of you standing on them to show just how much purchase your foot has on them, meaning how much of your toes/foot can rest on them.
The only think I don't like about the MetalTech's is that I felt like I was always on the very tip's of my toes standing on them when putting away our RTT. I always wished they were wider so I could get better footing on them.

Oh man, I hope everyone in the Camry was okay... I mean you too... but I assume you didn’t realize it happen until they honked to let you know they were under your truck : )

Yep, we're all okay. On the way to work, so we were both alone in our vehicles. Not even a bump or scratch. It was all just vehicle carnage. Funny thing, the Camery airbag's didn't go off!
Hummmm... Maybe I wasn't hit hard enough? Or that his vehicle was too low and when more under the vehicle than into the side?

Sorry to hear about the accident. I will measure tonight and take some pics. I have the flat sliders with the top plate (not grip plate) with the rear kickout. Powder coated black (including the logo). 2010+ Lexus GX460 Flat Sliders With Top Plate - https://rsgmetalworks.com/collections/2010-lexus-gx460/products/2010-lexus-gx460-flat-sliders-with-top-plate

They actually work really well as side steps and is one of the reasons I got them. They also have a wide stance with the kickout that I like.

So I could not find my piece of paper that I took my original measurements. Had intended to transfer them to a spreadsheet, but it never happened. I can still get a hub to fender measurement that could be compared to someone's stock hub to fender measurement but I will have to get assistance. With the new -12 offset wheels it is hard to line up with one person. I will try again. You can get a sense of the lift from my pictures on my mod/build thread.

The tape measure looked lined up with the edge of the body looking down, but when looking at full res out of the sun, some may be a bit off. But these pics should give you an idea on how far they stick out.

That's a HUGE help Rust Cohle!! My MetalTech's only stick out about 2.5" on the narrow side, I'll be getting almost another inch and a half and a lot more on the kick out's!!
Your foot looks very well planted on the step. Presently I"m leaning toward just the tube without the top plate because I'm not sure if I can get something through those holes in the top plate if I should ever need to be pulled from the side or someone needs to use me as an anchor to pull from the side.

I know I've been asking a lot and truly appreciate all your time and photos, but one last question, do you think you'd be able to slide a tow strap through those holes??

I don't have any tow straps (yet) to try. I measured; the elliptical holes are 2.75" along the long axis and 1.75" along the short axis. You could probably stuff a 3" strap curving it. Could also fit a soft shackle. I don't know if the plate welds would hold the weight of the truck. As you can see from my pics, it is not welded all the way around.

I’m buying tires and wheels soon and I can’t figure out what offset is best. I’m going to do 2.5” Ironman fcp with new upper control arms and was thinking 17x8.5 wheels and 275/70/17 BFG ko2. I’ve read this forum and watched a couple YouTube videos but I can’t figure out if I should do an offset at all! I’m honestly not a big fan of the wheels sticking out far outside of the wheel well on the side. Photo you took here looks really good to me

So on this, it seems I had less trouble on my garage install. Just released the LCA and slid the coil over out and in. I didn’t do UCA yet. Also it takes a jack or two to keep the kdss aligned to reinstall it. But once you use your brain to get that baby back on it’s not so bad. I definitely used a screwdriver to align some of the bushings. I had to uninstall and reinstall my coil overs so I feel like a bit of an expert now 🤦🏻‍♂️

I did 17x8.5 0offset method mr313 with 285/70r17 c rated Toyo at3. I think it turned out great. Right to the edge of the fender well. Nice stance but not aggressive.
Seems to be exactly what you’re looking for.

I'm attempting to install the rears for my ironman fcp...but i got the kdss kit, came with adjustable airbag delete kit, has anyone installed their airbag delete kit?....my bolt for the lower rear spring seat is way too short...and the gx470 bolt is way too long....i hate working with kdss btw....broke 2 bolts off of the kdss bar as well...need to drill them out still...

I like the tires sticking out... a bit, to give the car a wider stance. But it seems to be whatever you like. Keeping the tires tucked in the fenders is better for avoiding flinging mud and flying rocks.

For reference, my tire and wheel setup is: Wheels - Fuel Shok Gunmetal 17x9 with -12 offset and Tires - Falken Wildpeak AT3W Passenger rated 285/70/17. The -12 offset gives the wheels more of a concave dish shape and the tires stick out a bit, as you can see in my pictures. Best of luck!

Sorry to hear. I feel you. I hate it when a project seems off the rails. I had a base without airbags, so I didn't have to deal with those. Getting things to fit was tough enough.
