Hey guys. I own a 1994 LC and my transmission kickdown cable is stretched out beyond repair and im having trouble finding a part # from Toyota. I looked over the FSM as well and it doesn't look like its even mentioned. Is there another name for it? It also looks like its referred to as an accelerator cable? Pretty confused here. I would appreciate the help.

Try the Parting Out section or Salvage yards.

The company linked below once discussed getting them made (aftermarket)
but no idea what model years or if he's made any progress with that project.

PartSouq still lists them (or, at least compatible replacement parts):

I saw that a few days ago then forgot about it (the subsitution part number) but it wasn't there a year ago IIRC, so it seems like it's a new replacement (that's a good thing).

You could save shipping and buy it from these guys:

The outer abrasion and heat resistant cloth wrapping on the throttle cable of my 97 80 was deteriorating so I rewrapped it with TESA tape (51036) hoping to prevent further damage. The 51036 is one inch (25mm) wide but next time I might use the 30mm wide. FWIW
