titile says it all one of the previous owners did a hack job on my wiers and took out the stock ones and put seperte motor wipers in.or maybe the 64 lv's had seperate motors??? well regardless I want to put in a one motor assembly and while I actually have a coule fj60 motors kickin around all I really need is the lv assembly.
thanks Jason

I had a similar thing. The PO did a hack job here too, it took me a year of semi-casual searching to find the assembly!

a out don't know if the 64' was a single unit but after I have ignored the wipers until now and have seen how the independent motors work. I think they would cause me to get in an accident. so I want the one motor thing.
unfortuantely I prolly should have looked at the wipers sooner in that I don't think I want to wait a year to find something. my plan is to get something in there quick in that the wipers is the last peice of my puzzle. well ther eare other peices but I want to get this guy on the road.
so my thought is first to exhaust all avenue's to get an lv set up and if that doesn't pan out. to try and get a used fj55 set up. I have some fj60 motors and from what I can tell its just a matter of getting the arm studs out and then the link arm is set then its just a matter of getting the actuator arm and the motor situated so that it will actvate and move the arms in a coherent path....right? :)

the old Jimmywag had a chevy motor of some sort hooked up, worked well

Jason, I've been thinking on retrofits and to get it done you may be better off with a universal kit for a hot rod.

Just saying, it might be easier than reinventing the wheel. All those levers, arms and gearboxes look deceptively simple. ;)

don't do that kit. I have one like that in my streetrod and it works eratically. Do one with direct linkage at the motor. Try New Port engineering
