I put dual yellow top optimas in my old Dodge ram 2500 CTD, never had an issue, before that I used to run a red top optima in my rx7. Always been good to me. I have been hearing good things about those X2 batteries

Hey Jeffro109,

Question about this X2Power battery. My factory cables barely reached on the Diehard P 31M battery. On this one, the terminals are on the wrong side as I need positive +, on left and ground negative -, on right when facing the front of truck. Can I just rotate this battery so the front view shown in the pictures is pointed to rear of vehicle? That would seem to work and put the terminals where I need them. Reason I ask before I order it is that I haven't found another view of the battery on line, not even the manufacturers web site.

If i have to get new cables, I would like to know in advance. Any pics of it installed in your cruiser?

Thank You,

Bryan Enoch

Yes, make sure you ask for the reverse terminals. My factory cables fit, not a huge amount of slack but it works. The factory cables head toward the cab, larger cables toward the front are for the winch, small cables are from the shore power charger (mounted in front of the battery). Other positive terminal cable goes to the aux fuse block with its own fuse mounted on the back of the battery box.

Does Costco have a deep cycle 31? About how much does it run?

Thank you jeffro109. I installed this same battery yesterday. Did a lot of research. I learned a lot about AGM batteries and very interesting about Northstar battery manufacturing facility.

Batteries plus X2 power. Great option.

Hello,

Finally rebuilt my starter and now realizing my battery, Sears Diehard Platinum 31M won't hold a charge. Sad to see that Sears no longer sells this battery.

Plans in future to add a winch but none now. What's the best deal in a battery? 2017? Old posts seem no longer relavant as selections change with the times. One note; my local stores CCA are less than same battery in past as they say the Texas heat kills batteries with thicker plates which run hotter. Anyway... I just need a good new battery.

This is for a Dallas area vehicle. Thank you.
One Battery to Rule Them All: Odyssey 31M-PC2150, with your choice of terminals. This USED to be the DieHard Platinum battery, relabeled by Sears. Then they stopped using Odysseys and the quality went down. There's nothing better, but they ain't cheap...

Just a little update. Now I find out the local Batteries Plus has sent all those X2 power batteries back because they didn't sell well enough. They still can order it if you need one or for warranty replacement. I was disappointed to hear of this. i hope your X2 Batteries are holding up.

Everyone loves their AGMs, but if you have a stock electrical system it was designed and optimized for charging a flooded battery.

No batteries I've had have lasted as long as the stock Toyota/Panasonic flooded batteries that came with Toyota SUV's in the 90s.
I imagine battery quality has gone down across the board which is why no one is seeing 10+ years out of batteries anymore. As well electrical demands have increased a ton in modern vehicles, even when turned off.
