update-total burn out

I've talked it over with the wife, and I'm thinkin I'm gonna have to start working on a new plan for my life, one without Mark's Off Road. I don't know how I got to this place, but I can't see another way out any more. It's times like these I sure miss having my dad around to talk to. I don't have a specific timetable for this, but I think it is the right thing to do.

Take a look thru the catalog and see what you're needin, and if you can afford it, I'd appreciate the patronage. I'd obviously prefer avoiding dealing with the bottom feeders as long as possible. :frown:

On the bright side, the wife's ok with me burning thru some of the cash generated with the sell-off to fund some more trips away from the shop to visit with friends. So I should hopefully make the reunion this year.:)

Sincerely, your sandal-wearing, guitar-playing left-coast conservative wheelin buddy, Mark.

This sounds pretty exciting! Nothing feeds the soul like your feet trodding on new turf. New direction, new beginnings.

Now Go West young man! Oh... wait... never mind.

PM sent.

Mark,

Sorry to hear that, one because I have enjoyed doing business with you and two, because I will be living in LA as of July 1st and was looking forward to coming by your shop and checking it out. Are you going to be open for a little while longer?

Got a FJ45 that you want to sell me? Preferable a SWB removable top.

Based on our many conversations, I know you have thought about this and it's the right thing for you to do. Best of luck on whatever you do next brother!

John, we will enjoy the summer and the fall together for sure.:) I am not an impulsive person, and since I never thought about closing, it's gonna take some time just to come up with a plan. That's why I said no specific timetable. I think I should be there thru the winter, but how much longer after that will depend on questions I do not have the answers to yet.

If that is the best direction for you go for it! I have been on the edge for 3 years of just shutting it all down. My biggest issue is that my boss is an a******!

There are a bunch of ways to use your knowledge and business experience to create a totally new type/style of business either with or without cruisers.
