I finally did it and can't keep it a secret. I went to Denver yesterday and picked up this used Maggiolina Airtop. Just under a year old with the mattress still wrapped in plastic. It looks almost showroom new. Obviously well taken care of and my only complaint was the previous owner had such a good wax job on the shell it was quite slippery to carry.

I need to figure out mounting on the 80 either using my Yakima towers or try to get lower profile gutter mounts. I will be stowing it using a garage ceiling hoist. I'll get some open pics later.

Very nice ... still need to figure out how to mount mine. It's not nearly as slippery as yours though!

Eric, What gutter mounts are you using?

I don't see how we're both going to fit in there???

I don't think Peggy would okay with that.

Besides, I don't think you would fit. Isn't this the lsat time you tried to get into a RTT?

Got the new lift system installed in the garage this past weekend. Nice and out of the way. Thanks to Travis for lending a helping hand.

I found some "cheaper" Yakima bars and used them. I just wasn't happy with the way the pipe turned out. I used 5/8 heater hose to cover the bars and keep the tent body off the towers.

...It looks real nice and I am wishing I had one now.

Thanks, I can't be accused of having a plain rig now, huh Luke ;)

Will do on the mileage. Based on reviews the mileage hit is negligible.

So with the RRT mounted my roof mounted antenna (NMO) is covered. Here is what I did for an auxiliary NMO mount that runs a pig tail back to the original NMO roof mount and I use a NMO/UHF adapter. Here are a few pics. It bolts against the tabs for the RTT mounts. Its hard to tell but the antenna sits halfway between the sunroof and windshield.
