I made one similar, but it's full length. Worked great hauling all of the gear to Ouray and back:

Didn't take too long and luckily I had bought the steel a while ago before the price went up. :)

That's probably what I'd get, but that's just my preference.

Sweet!!

thats a sweet rack xrock. hey, just curious what size rims and tires you running and what is the back spacing on the rims. What kind of lift you got going as well.

Just curious, getting some ideas and info. so when I'm ready to buy my rims and tires, I know the set up will work.

Thanks James

Thanks- They're 15" rims, but I'm not sure of the backspacing. (would it say anywhere?) They were on the first 60 I bought that got used for parts. The tires are 33x10.50R15

The lift is the OME Dakkar 2-3 inch. Next project is replacing that stupid tube bumper on the front.

I got the clamps through Bill. Not sure which ones they are. I will find out.

Good price!! How much weight can it hold?

MMW68, I like your's alot. The only reason why it is too short is that I couldn't put my 17 foot canoe or my sailboat sail on top with that. If it was longer, I'd buy it!!

(don't tell anyone, but I like yours the best. SHHHHHHHHH!!!)

Good price, man I guess I am cheap. Had a few chances to get racks for about $250-300 and wouldnt pay it.

There is a Hannibal sp? rack in classifieds for $600! And I think that is a much better and lighter rack than these.

I think that I'd rather build my own rack now like xrock did. His rack is sweet and it cost less than $100. It definately helps to have friends with welders!!!

Thanks Bill!
