Thats a nice rig, I just got my 94 a few weeks ago. Can I ask how much you paid for it? Mine was $7900 w/no lockers as well.

Well Biff you spanked my ass. I paid 11,500. I wish there was something that I could have used to bargain this guy down. But the thing is impeccable and he was the original owner and had all the maintenance done. I had been shopping for a while and had looked at a bunch of them. Most people were asking between 13 to 15,500. None were as clean and had the PM done on them. I am happy with what I paid; I feel it was a fair price for the rig. First thing will be a trip to the wife’s parent’s house in Pismo. I.E. will be calling Hanna and have the sliders put on when I am up there, :).

First your new avatar should not be a rainbow, it should be :princess: :flipoff2:

Rogue - dolphin, shark, guppy whatever. If I was out there and saw it, I would have messed myself.

Getting sliders right off the bat is a great first step

fwiw, my 93 was converted to R134 by the previous owner and it works very well. 106 farenheit here today and I'd never notice it if I didnt have to leave the cruiser. 8)

Newps,

Are you set on the Hanna sliders? Might want to check out these guys alot closer and will beat the price... If i could figure out this dam post pic thing i'd show you mine. My FJ is in the rides section

Well with all the stuff I'm adding tires, misc. maintenance. So far the price for the rig has gone up to 12000. I almost got it perfect, just need a lift, and maybe some sliders.

AMMO,

Those sliders are .... errrr.... uhhhhh.... ahhhh... are rugged looking.

Hey Biff, "I almost got it perfect" ya that will be the day. I still have some to work to do on mine. I should be able to do it all myself. Just stuff like changing all the fluids and cleaning the air-filter system and anything else that might turn up.

Thanks for heads up AMMO. You ride gave me some ideas. I like the black flairs; I was just thinking today about what it would look like with them black. Now I know and I like it. I will be honest I am looking for sliders that have been tested and re-tested. Seems like you can never get anything exactly right the first time. The only two companies I have looked at are Slee and Hanna. If anyone can think of someone making them better then these two let me know.

Beowulf,

I really don't mean to highjack this thread, as I have no "cred" on this forum. The sliders are my design; the plates are dimple died and work nicely to hold your high lift secure, kinda loc's the lift to the slider when lifting the truck. They also act as a sort of skid, The sliders are welded to the frame on four spots and gusseted, trust me these things don't move, and you get no flex as they will hold the whole weight of a loaded 80. They are bomb proof.

Sorry again, no highjack intended.

AMMO, Jersey

Yeah....there is this one called SLEE Off Road you might want to check out. :flipoff2: You can call them most everything around here and people will recognize them...just don't call them SOR. :D

Hi-jack this thread are you kidding. Dude this thing has been jacked, robbed and is being held hostage. Serious have you read this thing? We have talked about dolphins, rainbows, AC system and now sliders. Think nothing of it.

Newps,

Thanks man, just didn't want to step on any toes since i'm a "newbe" to this fourm. When you get your rig set we should do a run, I'm in the south bay.

Jeeze newps... do you want us to get back on topic and slam you for posting pics of a bone stock 80 here in the 80's section on IH8MUD? Everyone here drives at least one 80 and everyone knows what a *stock* one looks like.... we want to see MODS and body damage. :D

Help me out, South Bay, is that L.A. or San Fran? In either case I will defiantly contact you in the future. I cannot wait to get this thing on a trail.

Beowolf, we got to walk before we can run. I hit the crub when I parked it, I am sure there is a mark on the tire. :flipoff2:

South Bay LA, now Beowulf is right! Get to the modding and the carnage, we can take care of the carnage real easy...Big Bear is under 2hrs away and allot of trails are open despite the fires. Heck i lost my passanger side flair when the guy's at the shop didn't belive i could drive over a car and up a three foot wall. It was a small price for the shock vaule, i have that on vid some where...

>> Beowolf <<

It's Beowulf, Rookie. ::) :slap:

And one more thing now that you've got me pi$$ed off. Your spelling is worse that fAvE's by a long shot and he has an excuse. Didn't you finish grade school?

-B-

Thanks for noticing my great spelling. Wow I must be the only one on the internet who cannot spell. Where is that dam sarcasm key?

There should have been a :) in there. Just giving a newbie a hard time.
