What is that thing?

I bought a performance ct26 from Graeme
Planning for about 14 psi.
Pump will get an aneroid when my original pump gets a rebuild

What psi you running from that turbo?

I believe it is the drive/rotar head from my injector pump! It is badly worn! Supposedly it's been caused from the lack of sulphur in diesel these days! I've been told to run an additive in the diesel

I'm running 18 psi now! If you intercool it you want to run high boost pressure!

I'm considering changing my turbo over. I'm looking for more power down low , a turbo that spools up earlier, I'm not sure what the best option is yet, I don't really want to loose my boost at higher revs, not sure if it's possibly to get a turbo to work well both at low and high revs?

Hope the engine upgrade your planning all goes well! I look forward to following your posts!

Run 2 cycle oil as your additive

Definitely check out the turbo it's custom tuned to our engines. You'll get some money out of your old kit.

I will be doing a build thread when it happens. I am quite excited.

Hey - what a find!! Can't wait to see it rebuilt - and back on the road.

Proffitts Cruisers started in the mountains of Colorado, USA. They've been bought out by the Larry H. Miller family of auto dealerships - but still run under the Proffitt's name.

They are now headquartered in Tooele, UT - just outside of Salt Lake City, UT USA.

Give 'em a call and get in touch with John or Jeremiah Proffitt himself....he's in the office most of the time!

They're a great shop and do quality work....best of luck on the new cab!

Finally I had the chance on the weekend to remove and inspect the drivers side hub on "Merlo" my new 79! Shes had a hard hit, hard enough to twist the axle housing to the point where I can't remove the axle!

Not sure how to get it out just yet?

Ouch...never seen a housing like thta.

It musta been a good hit.

Time to get out the power tools, grinder, and plasma torch.

Can anyone suggest why I am struggling so much to get the cv and axle out ? I've cut the bottom half of the swivel housing off and have been trying to leaver it out, was thinking of welding my big slide hammer to the shaft and giving it what's for!

It should just slide straight out! I'm thinking it must be bent further inside the housing maybe?

It's stuffed now but I want it out still!

Thanks in advance

Cheers
