Where are you guys buying your hydro steer parts from? Everyone on Pirate worships Station, but I'd love to hear other options/opinions.

I'm looking for a double-ended ram, an orbital w/ power beyond, and a rear steer log-splitter type valve.

In spite of repeated attempts, I could never get ahold of Station. I got all of my hydro parts in January from PSC. I am very pleased with their service, willingness to help and quality of the parts.

Man, that's a nice cross member. I'm going to borrow that idea for mine. Nice work!

Thanks for the props guys.

Got ahold of Station today and ordered my ram and mounting pieces. Didn't order the orbital or pump yet 'cause I still have a bit of work to do on the front end and I'm trying not to load up my Visa  In about 6 weeks I'll be out of school for the summer and should have a solid week to spend on the truck. Hopefully by the end of that week it will be up and running :crossingfingers:

That is one cool mini ! I wish I did not already have a money pit (78 fj-40) or I would do some work too my 97 Taco.

Got a little progress made. No pics though, sorry.

Got the shackle tubes inserted in the frame and welded in and the front leafs hung.

Got the hydro ram from Station and have been playing with how to mount it. Got a couple of ideas, but nothing decided yet.

Picked up 6 sticks of tubing and some steel and aluminum sheet, so I should be able to build the flatbed once school lets out.

And the biggest news is that my buddy is gonna loan me his bender, so I can actually make the flatbed how I want, as well as do some shock hoops, sliders, and a front bumper. :D

That's all I got, only got to work on it for about 4 hours on Friday. Thinkin I might go up and work on it this coming Friday depending on my work load. Trying to figure out what to do about U-bolts. I can't seem to find any off the shelf units that will fit my needs, and custom ones are freakin expensive around here!

And last one....the tube that runs the perimeter of the bed is one piece including the wheel hoops and the two bends at the rear. It was for all intents and purposes the first piece of tube I ever bent, and there are a few minor errors as a result, but it's not bad.

Got my EOR cage, but the rear hoop was slightly over bent making it a little too tall and too narrow so that it didn't fit quite right. With a little persuasion all should be well.

Looking NICE! You gonna tube around the glass fenders?

Probably, once I cut them up  They need to be opened up towards the front so the tires will clear.

I discovered a more significant flaw in the tube bed than I had originally thought, so I think I will taking a few steps backwards next time I get to work on it, but that might be a while.

My goal for the next trip is to get the gas tank figured out and hopefully get it running again. Hopefully that won't take toooo long, and I can start working on getting the hydro plumbed if my parts ever come.

extremetoy1,

It is the stock IFS rear axle with 4.88s in a welded 4cyl diff. I added 1.5" wheel spacers to make up for the width difference. It looks like it should work well, although I may drop the spacers down to .75" at a later date to get a little better turning clearance.
