How about this one. I woke very early to the sound of a vehicle horn blowing nonstop. Crawled out of bed to find it was my LX470. Frantically, I got in and started the vehicle. Horns just kept going! I grabbed a pair of wire cutters and clipped the wires to each horn. Has anyone heard of this and what should I do now? Is there a relay somewhere?

Thanks y'all.

Reconnect the wires and see if they are going. Electrical issues on these trucks often comes from water intrusion issues in the cab.
Thanks. I'll try that. I did notice this year for the first time water coming in from the sunroof just above the rear view mirror. I have been putting off replacing the seal.

If I reconnect the wires and the horn isn't sounding then it's most likely water? I'm imagining the anti theft system is connected to the horns. Are there relay's for the horns?

I had this happen on one hundy before. It was a faulty hood latch sensor. Ended up having to unplug it because it liked to randomly go off at night. On the one I have now, same thing - alarm at night except hood latch sensor unplugged doesn't fix it.

I got about 3-4 cracks on the windshield but a crack should not pass water into the cabin.
Potential causes
1) Water intrusion into the horn relay
2) Could be a hood that is not properly latched (while the car doors are set to lock mode

My vote is for water entering the vehicle around the windshield. It can be difficult to identify the exact spot but you will likely discover evidence around driver and/or passenger side kick panels where many of the wiring harness connections are made.

I had the same issue last month. I sprayed soapy water all over the windshield and used air on the inside of the windshield to find bubbles after I cleaned the sunroof drains. I ended up having a bad windshield seal. Fixed the seal and no more water in the cab and no more random horns.

My 2001 has a horn relay and a horn fuse.

Thanks y'all! I really appreciate this.
I've been noticing a few funny things that may or may not be related.
1. Some automatic door locks are starting to not work with the key fob. Especially when it's hot out.
1. Automatic tinting mirrors started activating themselves. I think
3. Key fob doesn't always turn on Security system. I think. Might be related to the door locks?

Any chance these are connected?
It's super dry here where I am and we've had no precipitation for quite some time.

yes there is a relay under the hood in the fuse box and also a fuse. I believe that is in the driver side kick panel fuse box
