well today was not a great day for the old fj. i took off my battery and alternator and took it to get tested. i ended up getting a new alternator and my battery was still good. but.............. on the way home my temp started to get hot and was getting to 220 ish and it has never gotten that hot. i dont think my fan is moving fast enough some of my belts are slipping bad and my power steering belt is really loose its not looking good for calico i got to get my house in order this weekend soo we can sell it.
 
sooo took my fj to gross and stevens to get a alignment welll worth the 50 bucks i had the steering pinarm alittle off so they fixed that. but they had no idea why the body roll. they think it might be my rear sway bar. i took a look at it and the rubber bushings are just about gone. they said it could be my tires or shocks. but my shocks are good but my tires are old but iam lost.

i put in a high steer kit and bamm!!!!! i got body roll like crazy. i did max it out the suspension after i installed it and i could of broke something but i dont know????? my springs are good? soo i dont know what it is

well i put in new rubber bushings in the rear sway bar today helped alittle bit on the body roll but not the fix? iam thinking it could be my rear shocks maybe the fronts are 5100 bilistines and look newish soo i think tomarrow i will pull them off to see if there bad or not.

iam almost tempted to put on my old steering back on this is not worth all the headache of a high steer
 
soo everything was going great this week use the fj to move pulled a heavy trailer all week not problems but then on the way home last night she decided that she was tired and threw a fan belt. :( soo i was stuck on the side of the road last night for a hour waiting for it to cool down. before the belt went it started to get hot soo i pulled over to see if a belt came loose. i noticed that my fan belt was starting to twist i knew it was coming soo i tried to get home no luck she broke 4 blocks down that street. lol

but i was talking with marlin and we think we figured out why the body roll. i need to redue the shims in the knuckles and set them at the right lbs of tork.

and to top it off i got sick last night after all of this lol
 
soo on friday i got my tach to work. now i need to get my belts back on from last weeks carnage it shoudnt be that bad

Where did you get those turn signals form and what type of VW were they origionally designed for? I think I am going to put those on my fenders.
