sorry for the radio silence but no big updates as of late. We finally got our houses In California sold and are building a house in Naches Wa right now on 10 Acres. If it weren't for Covid we would be done right now but Inslee decided residential construction was not essential so we will have to wait a couple more months.

Hopefully once the house is built I can get the FJ back in the garage and start back down the road of getting it complete. I have been exploring some in the wifes sequoia and there are plenty of trails around here to explore!

Natches is great, I’m over there wheeling several times a year. Rimrock to the north is even better

Yeah we have really grown fond of it. It is a cool town and lots of fun wilderness to explore. Without the 40 up and going we have been exploring with the wife's sequoia so nothing hardcore but fun none the less.

let me know if you come over this way. worst case I can meet up for a beer!

Thx Ryan, sounds good

Hope the inspection goes well...

Home inspection went perfect and we have occupancy. now to get all the boxes out the garage so I can start getting my tools and the FJ in there.

well I dove further down the Land cruiser rabbit hole and picked this up yesterday:

Probably just borrow the spartain locker from the 40 and put the winch on it and run it. get me and the kids camping and snow wheeling while I work on building to 40 and my shop

no update on the cruiser yet. I did just put a down payment on this though:

then she will have a home where I can start working on her again.

well this project has taken another turn. it just donated it's motor to a 72 c10 truck that i acquired. I think i will just rebuild the 350 from the c10 and put it back in this but it is going to be a while.

I have decided to try and end my unemployment by starting my own business:

I am opening my own Craft Distillery in Naches Wa inspired by motorsports. I don't want to give to much away until i have actual label approvals but i am hoping to do some wheeling inspired spirits including a over-lander gin.

Please follow and like on social media to help me get the word out!!!

Good luck - Dont work so much you forget about your 40. I know its hard starting a business I started my own ran it for 11 years then sold it all. Once your up and running we come to Yakima area 3-4 times a year Ill have to swing by.

thanks man. I am hoping once i get some product rolling i can enlist some help to get the "promotional vehicle" finished lol.

follow along on facebook or instagram for regular updates. i have a youtube channel i just started too to take a video record of what it takes to build out our small distillery.

Just read through your build... Can't wait to see the 40 on the trails! It was great getting to meet you and your girls up wheeling last weekend. Your 80 does very well, as it should... I put the High Octane Spirits sticker on the back of my "green machine" in support! Look forward to wheeling with you again, and following along in your 40 build.

well, i was not really ready to install this but the right deal fell into my lap and i ended up getting a new heart for this project:

it is a 2002 4.8L out of a silverado. Kid got T boned and bought it back to make back some money. ended up paying 500 bucks for the whole motor, harness, compurer and stock air box.

now just have to get the parts to adapt this to the NV4500 and start figuring out the wiring and computer part.

Sweet!!! How many miles on it?

It has 141k on it. Figured I would check compression and drop the pan to check it out before installing it. Might also throw a cam in there as I have heard that can really wake them up

Do the rear main if u r messing with the pan, rear main will leak if you mess with the rear oil pan bolts. Ask me how I know...

yeah that makes sense. I am doing a rear main seal on my 6.0 2500hd right now as i am doing the transmission. I hate rear main seal oil leaks.

I will probably do valve cover and intake gaskets while i am at it.
