That interior looks great! I've never seen that diamond plate neoprene before, but I'm going to keep an eye out now. I threw my carpet away, because it disintegrated when I pulled it out. I wish someone would make a template like you mentioned.

Nice rig Jason. Looks like you're all set up. I've been looking at the Deluxe Winch Bumper that Man-A-Fre has for sale and am going to make a roof rack for the 60 like the one I made for my '66 45LV.

I wish someone would make a template like you mentioned.

I'll get a template made and post a thread when it's done here. I've got my hands full right now, but if it's been a while and anybody is really in need of one, send me a message and I'll get it done.

That's very generous, I appreciate it. No hurry though, I still haven't gotten the tar mat up and my headliner jute is still blowing in the wind, lol.

Damn dude that thing is awesome and I hope that in 5yrs I am where you are! Seriously, seriously nice rig.
On the note of the neoprene diamond plate, please definitely do a lengthy write-up there are many here that would appreciate it!

Sweet truck..

Thanks. Since this post I have rebuilt the motor, and fixed everything right down to the A/C which hasn't worked since I started working on it in 2009. After I install some aftetmarket front and rear bumpers and give it some fresh paint it's done.

Just saw this thread. That's a clean 60! My 87 is the same color but my paint doesn't look as near as nice as yours. Digging those stripes too!

Thanks guys. This is a few years back, and even then the paint looked better in the photos that it actually was. Today the paint is shot. The original clear coat is frosting all over the vehicle. My wife wants to give it a fresh coat of factory colored blue, but I'm kinda liking the patina. That and the contrast between the interior and exterior catches people off guard sometimes and that's fun too. I really want to drop in a 5 speed, but all funds are soon to be poured into my LV. Still, this 60 is a blast to drive and I am surprised at how many compliments it gets just as it is. I guess enough years have passed that it's seen as a classic and the cool factor is in.

Is this the same color code? I'm just itching to get mine back on the road. Hopefully one more week.

Maybe, mine looks a little more true blue than your pics but photos can change the color drastically depending on Lighting. Good luck on your build brother. Hoping that motor purrs for decades to come.

It's been 7 years since the original post and 4 since the last post. I took a few weeks off from restoring my LV to work on the 60. It's my favorite of my 3 Cruisers to drive and the one I wheel the most. Recently I've added a Tuffy console, built a top rack myself, a 4Plus front bumper, lights and a Smittybuilt XRC10 winch and replaced my stock door panels with some Australian Door Cards. The rear 4Plus classic bumper goes on this weekend along with wiring everything up. I'll be calling Kurt with Cruiser Outfitters soon for the heavy OME suspension and after that will be taking it up to Georg for a LongRangeAmerica aux tank and a H55. My wife is now on board with the ever increasing patina. Interior looks new and the exterior is shot, just the way I like it.

Hey man - looks fantastic! Nice rehab for sure.

Say, I also have the SOR foams and gray vinyl.

Biggest issue is that the seat foams are super firm, like rocks.
And they sit pretty darn high.
I was actually thinking of boring horizontal holes in the foam to add some spring / comfort - any issues for you?

I only put the high density foam in the driver seat. All of my other foam was still good. Yes it's firm but I love that. I do sit higher but I'm only 5'6" so it's perfect for me. 😁 I can't say enough about the SOR vinyl upholstery. Great quality stuff.

@Land Cruiser Junky , 1st off, that 60 looks awesome aaannd it's the right color 👍
2nd, x 6 or what ever it is on the carpet template. you said you got that neoprene from a metal supplier? you wouldn't happen to recall the manufacture's name of it? that stuff looks like just the thing the doctor would order for my floor. i'm likin' the fact of blowing it out with garden for clean up. thanks for your time
