So my transfer case is bone dry. How did i miss that. I'll prob swap in my spare one. Tons of metal shaving sludge on my drain plug.
That sucks!!! At least you have the spare and don't have to source one.

Yeah i'm lucky I have a spare. The spare only has a small amount of metal shavings, but not enough to make me concerned.
I'm going to keep the bad one and rebuild it with Marlin Crawler low range gears eventually once I have some extra money.

Went out to Chiva Falls (Tucson). Its great that I have all these amazing trails only 15 minutes from my house.
Ended the day pulling out a stuck SxS.

That almost makes me miss Ft Huachuca.

Almost.

Its been a long time coming, but the transmission is finally good. The original case i had rebuilt kept giving me problems. I had the tranny shop source a whole new case and rebuild it. I explore mines and ghost towns so i did a 4hr round trip last weekend to Morenci area, and a 2.5 hr round trip i am currently on, to Superior. Shifts great!
I re ordered the 4" Flexi Coils i used to have, i do not like the 3.5" coils i got to try out. I cant exactly figure out why, but the flexi's worked out better, i felt like i was getting better travel in the rear.
I am also experiencing driveline vibrations in the front, so that will need to be addressed before i take trips longer than 2 hr each way.

The leak mysteriously stopped, and I fixed the problem with the rear shock, so good to go!
Took it for a test run up the switchbacks near my house and a few bumps later the front shock let go. Broke at where it threads in at the bottom. Offroading is fun they said.
I'm debating my options as to what i'm going to do suspension wise.
With the 4" flexi coils, my measurements are off due to it leaning on the drivers side. Measured from center of the hub, to fender (no flares).

I didn't measure with the VT coils in the rear, but they are shorter than the flexi coils for sure.

I'm probaly going to keep what I had suspension wise, the 3.5. I sent an e-mail to Dobinsons asking for their opinion anyway. As far as shocks go, I might go with the 7" long travel from superior engineering. My goal has always been to get the most flex out of a non 3 linked set up until I can afford a 3 link.

Suspension update: Dobinsons told me they have a 4.5vt coil coming out in April. I'm going to opt for that. With a 6+" lift shock, i should have plenty of travel, paired with my superior radius arms.

Moved to Catalina, AZ (northern Tucson), from the east side.
I've got some fun trails to play on around here.

Rear drivers side brakes started grinding real bad. I havent touched the rears since buying the rig, especially since it didn't get driven alot in NY. Shouldn't have neglected that, but its got brand new everything on both sides now.

I got the replacement front shocks in. I went with Superior Engineering 7" lift shocks. They are great so far. I need to order the rears now.

Ran a small section of Charlou Gap trail. On the way back home my brakes failed. I wondered if it was due to how i bled them. I wonder if the master cylinder failed. I'm going to be taking it to a shop today.

The brake problem ended up being the master cylinder.
My steering wheel was at a 90* angle, so I adjusted the drag link and got it back to where it should be.
Front vibrations. I removed drive shaft, locked CDL and they all went away, well sort of..
Viscous coupler in the t case is seized too...
Front locker not engaging....
It never ends. But i love the damn thing anyway.
Who wants to wheel?

35s up rub untill you make adjustments with bumpstops, axle position, hammering & or trimming.
~~~~~~~
What is width & backspace of wheels? Have you done mods to fenders and moved the front axle forward. How have you corrected caster? Your wheels look like 4.5" BS
