Haha all. I got the keys back and it’s all locked away for the winter. I actually have to drop the tranny. Sounds like a bad bearing. Or she was riding the clutch all day. 😬😁
And what, pray tell, does this bad bearing sound like?

Pbg, I know its been posted but can you tell me where you got or how you made those rims ?
New oem toyota wheels dropped off at our local wheel and driveshaft repair shop ,
They just cut the wheel in two and added a ring to it then welded it all up. I think they used a lathe as wheel is balanced and straight. Never really watched as they were family friends and I trusted them to do a good job.

I remember someone here posted a pic of like the wife first river crossing and the down grade emergency tree brake shortly after.

Nice. It’s a sm465. Started off hearing a noise like rod knock. I freaked then realized it was in the transmission. Push clutch in sound goes away. Put tcase in neutral and run through the gears wierd noise still there. SM465 like to destroy input shaft bearing or a bearing on the main shaft can wear in the housing of the transmission causing noise. Or it may be my idler shaft in my tcase. I haven’t changed that in 20 years. Who knows I’ll know more when I play with it this winter.

Sounds suspiciously similar to what I have going on with the exception of the “20 year old” part.
