So here it is. I was able to drive out of state to pick this baby up. With a clean carfax and well taken care of, it ended up costing me $53K OTD with about 55K miles on odometer. The exterior and interior are super clean (near new) and we were very pleased with the condition of the vehicle.

i made some modifications and put aluminum molding on side mirrors, ordered fender mirror and bumper kit from another country and installed that. So far so good. The before and after photos are below. What I also plan on doing is installing aluminum roof rack and changing the rims.

Anybody has any experience changing the OEM 18” wheels to 20” with same bolt pattern of 5x150 and offset of 60? Any modifications required or is it a smooth fit?

Someone on this board imported factory 21" wheels from another market and installed them if I remember correctly.. so you can go even further than 20s with the correct offset and tire.

As Charlie said, as long as your tires are close to the same size as what came on a LX570 you shouldn't have any issues at all.

Personally, IF i were to go big rims, then i would get the 21" from LX570. Those look amazing on the LX IMHO.

Have never seen an LC stateside with the lower front bumper valence. Pretty cool to see something different. Is that OEM?

Not sure what you have in mind for larger wheels, but it'd be awesome to see some boss width wheels and tires. Not necessarily rubber band tires, but a big meaty 305+ width street oriented fitment.

i am leaning towards the ones below. They are 20” instead of 18” but come standard in a lot of markets outside of USA.

The bolt pattern is the same but the offset on them is 60 whereas the OEM 18” have an offset of around 55ish

Those look pretty sporty and inline with the looks you might be after. Stock 20" tire size on 200-series would be 285/50r20.

If I'm not mistaken, those wheels would be 20x8.5 +60?

I'd put something meatier on them like a 305/50r20. Just incrementally taller and about an inch wider. Should still fit on a 8.5" wide wheel and fill the wheel well nicely.

Perhaps even paired with .75" or 1" wheel spacer to get a more aggressive flush stance.

Congrats on your new Cruiser. I like your (black) wheels. And the ones you’ve found and pictured above.

You’ll likely notice a “harsher” ride going to 20”. I’m waiting for my 21” Grandtrek AT23’s to wear down some more and will then switch to stock 18” LC wheels. My previous DD was a 100 series with 18” wheels.

Taller and wider like TeCKis300 suggests will ride better, however. And look better too.

Yes you got it. They are 20x8.5 +60. I called a few places around and kept getting slightly different answers. The ones i got recommended the most was 275x55 so i’m not too certain. The look i am going for is more sleekish to go along with the rest of the vehicle

Thats what i have heard but how harsher are we talking about? Is there any rubbing issue or need for spacer that you know of going to R20?

I installed these on my 2016 LC. Those are called ZX wheels. I went with ZX blackout which means the grey on yours is black. They fit perfect. There are pics on mud of them just search.

awesome. I’ll check it out. They have them in aluminum/black combo as well like the ones you got. I chose aluminum/gray combo for my LC.

Did you have any issues with rubbing. How much of a harsher ride did you experience going from 18” to 20”?

and what tire size did you use?

Out of curiosity, what market is the fender mirror from. I've only come across that style of mirror in India (on a Toyota Fortuner), but I'm not much of a world traveler.

they are pretty common in different countries. You’ll find them in Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Middle East, Australia and probably more. Fortuner has slightly different kind. These (the one I have) are specific to LC200 and FJ Cruiser

Can’t speak to rubbing and fit. All I know is that recent LX570’s come from the factory with either 20” or 21” rims.

How much harsher? YMMV but I notice it when hitting a bump or chuckholes in the paved road. It’s more jarring. Otherwise it’s fine on smooth roads. For that matter, my 80 series rides just fine on a smooth road too. But with the much heavier unsprung weight (no IFS), you’ll notice these bumps and chuckholes in the older cruiser too.

It wouldn't surprise me if they wouldn't pass inspection here, due to pedestrian safety concerns. At least we don't have to deal with the hoods with exploding bolts.
