Muffler for 1976 FJ40

Hi - I installed SOR exhaust header and the transition pipe and then went to them to buy the rest of the exhaust system. They do not have any mufflers for a 1976 FJ40. Any recommendations on what to use or who to source from.

As 12/75-12/78 is NLA we used a later 40 series OE muffler and duplicated the pipe on this '78, not perfect but it works for a driver.

Pipe assembly, exhaust tailpipe 17430-61120

There is one in Boston and one inbound.

I would use the 1/79+ hanger system verses curing the mounting bracket off. The bracket that bolted to the frame included the isolator. The bracket is a simple V shaped piece of metal with the isolator bonded to it. The 60 series uses a isolator except no metal bracket and has studs on both sides. The inlet on the later muffler is a three bolt pattern verses four bolt flange used on the previous years. Would locate the three bolt flange and have a muffler shop install the three bolt flange unless you a welder.
