I pulled the trailer out on Sunday and opened up the tent to air it out. Haven't been out since DRV and can't wait to get out of town!

Same here, even got the 80 rinsed off to get it dirty again... It hasn't been washed since the DRV, well accept for the rain we got.

thinking i wont get there till Saturday....probly be stuck on the outside fence tip toeing to see in by then, huh?
I'm signed up...so there's that.

do you know if they sell stickers of the event too?

It does get tight by Saturday, however if you're not pulling a trailer you'll be fine. So don't let it stop you from coming... I want to check out your ICONs:D As far as selling stickers, not that I'm aware of. But they do give 1 maybe 2 (if you ask nicely) out at the event.

Believe they'll give you a sticker w/registration sign in. If there's no room the 'overflow' area just beyond the entrance and slightly above the main camp is really nice and does have bathroom facilities up there too. Almost nicer than the zoo of main camp and not really further away from the main fire pit where the potluck is. Do you have a trailer? Don't remember if you are one that does or not. Given the 3XL shirt order, we'll save extra room for you. o_O

no trailer with me this trip. I do still have the Palomino Banshee though. Maybe i'll drag it to pismo.
yeah, i'm one of the handfulls of 3XL's but i bet you they'll be gone by then...

I think they've started handing them out with registration, so if you 'ordered' a 3XL, there will be one for you. Ah, debating on Pismo. Haven't gone in a couple of years.

Last minute question for any of us going up - Russel posed a good question to me via PM about perhaps setting up camp up above the main fire ring. We'd walked through the area last year and thought it as nice if not nicer than the zoo of main camp and really no further a walk to the main fire ring for the activities of camp.

Anyone want to chime in with an opinion before we start heading up there Friday?

Brent/Russel, that works for us. We are still planning on caravaning with Brent. Most everything is packed, just need to put water in the trailer then feed the kids before we leave.

that's a pretty good climb...from Mentone up hill , looks to be about a 4300 ' in 22 miles or so, averaging 5.5%
looks like I'll be heading out Friday after all.

Yep - make that almost u-turn and you start climbing pretty quickly. Pretty flat to that point.

Nice photos. Even with the light from the moon the night photos turned out pretty good. It was nice meeting your sons, you and your wife have raised a good pair of young men.

Thanks. Austin has a good eye behind the lens. Amazing the star photos came out at all with the full moon. Actually pretty cool but almost looks like daytime!
Your stories from work are a reminder that good decisions are important. And yes, they are good kids. Thanks for the kudos.
