Last year, when I drove back to Pensacola, I drove I-10 to and from for a total of 4355.5 miles per Garmin TreadXL GPS. I used 245.9 gallons for an overall 17.7 MPG. Best tank was coming back through Arizona at 80 MPH with 268.8 miles and 13.6 gallons for 19.8 MPG. Worst tank was driving around Pensacola for 167.0 miles, 11.2 gallons for 14.9 MPG. Overall, the freeway driving was around 18.1 MPG. No Yakima roof rack and with Slee skids. BFG AT 285/65R18 KO2s. With these tires, for every 1000 miles indicated, per GPS, it is actually 1040 miles. The addition of the Slee skids gave me about two MPG more at freeway speeds. The removal of the roof rack was also significant but I don't remember as it came off within 200 miles of purchase. It is sitting in my basement waiting for the Alaska trip!
