hey i went to Christmas partys at the Posey house growing up....



I know Parker is out there, but she was semi normal growing up in Laurel according to my sister. Another RH Watkins graduate.!!!!

Small world. When my Mom went to Laurel High in the 40's, R.H. Watkins was the Superintendant of Schools. Several of my cousins are RHW grads, probably way before your time. From what I've read, it's still a pretty highly rated school.

Dazed and Confused--Filmed right here in Austin. Parker Posey is in it, as well as Ben Affleck and that uberdouchebag Matthew McConaughey.

well im 30 and went to high school in Jackson, but grew up in Laurel until I was 15.

My sister used to tell me about Watkins.....she was a dance squad gal.......boot kickers....can't remember the name....Golden Girls?

I was on the varsity Tornadoes Soccer team for a year! That's my only affiliation

True. I like Jeremiah Johnson too.

The LHS dancers are (were) called Golden Girls. Don't axe me how I know. Chris is her brother, same dealership as when we were kids over on Hwy 15. Laurel was once a hoppin' lil town. No mas... I'm in my 40's, so that was a different lifetime.

Because, being from Laurel, they were probably all hot, and the image of them on the football field/their name is still burned into your memory! (At MSU, virtually every girl I knew from Laurel was good looking!)
 
Yessir, the hotness scale in Laurel back in the day was impressive. And to this day, the girls at JCJC are second to none in that department. Married me one of those LHS/JCJC girls...
