However, the passenger seat belt doesn't want to retract anymore. Stealership wants $1000 to fix it. No s***. No way.

Was bad enough I had to pay $200 for them to turn off door/seatbelt beeps and shift autolock.

Driver's side mirror is a little loose and flops around when driving. They quoted me$1500 for a new mirror. Lol!

For the loose mirror check this thread out Need help with right mirror

Thank you! I just ordered the bolts online for 8 bucks plus shipping. Dealer wanted $99 to try to "fix" the mirror wobble. That's just to attempt it. I don't have much faith in them.

You can also jus pop the cap off and tighten your existing bolts. Did that a few years back with lock tight and no more wobble.

One of mine is a 4.7l gasoline middle east variant. Im at aprox 100,000 miles. I read the timing belt is something I should have serviced...?... Another question. I moved to a country that has mostly diesel LC200s.... Im assuming my timing belt part numbers are completely different from the 5.7l and diesel ones right? I usually buy all parts online so Id love someone to point me in the right direction.

The 5.7 doesn’t even have a belt.. it’s a chain. So yeah, the majority US owners in this section won’t be much help. Our 100s came with the 4.7 so that section could provide more good info.

2011 130k. No issues, but I also practice, excellent preventative maintenance. Keeping it perfect for the lucky next owner.

2011 90k. Zero issues except my fan belt is starting to squeak when cold and I just replaced my rear hatch struts. She gets taken care of every 5k mimes since day 1.

@155,000 now and ready for another 155,000
replaced the following: Rad, water pump, thermos, starter, alt, fan clutch and then everything that went into the 120,000 service, plugs, wires, belts, etc...she fit

I did the radiator, water pump, hoses, idler pulley, belt, fan clutch, transfer case fluids, diff fluids, Transmission and brake fluid at 120k. The belt was dried and cracked and definitely should have been replaced earlier.
My UCAs are starting squeak, I need to take them apart and re-grease.

Thought I would revive this thread. I have a 2008 LC with 198K, I bought it with 189K almost a year ago. I have replaced the fuel injector wiring harness(bad connection somewhere in it), proactively replaced the radiator, hoses and starter, resealed the heat exchanger and intake manifold gaskets, replaced the fan clutch, all belts, all fluids, parking brake cable, valve cover gasket, spark plugs and gaskets, coil packs, heater t's and hoses. A lot of preventative and picky maintenance to make sure she is running at 100%. I have owned many 80 series, 100 series and this is my first 200 series. Almost a year in I am still in love with this rig.
