You didn't break on the rock you broke turning around to get to the obstacle :flipoff2:

the hump comment was for tkinze's benefit, it's more "TV worthy". Ain't that some crap. Climb the rock, actually get hung up like two dogs on it, but break my hub turning around to retry the obstacle. boooooo

Glad to see you. FYI, We're all meeting in the Galleria area before 9 to convoy out. Check the first post for details.

yea i saw that. Id meet up with yall but thats about 20-30 mins north out of my way. All i gotta do its get on i 20 and its a straight shot. I'll just see yall on the trail.

Head count is looking pretty high for this one. Check out the first post for an estimate oh who's coming.

I'll be there. In the 40 unless its a downpour, then in the hundy so Cruiser100 can pick up some spare parts. Realized I lost a center cap last trip out so I'm 3 for 3 on lost parts. Skid, muffler, center cap. What's next!

See ya'll in the morning.

Whew, had a last minute hiccup. took the trail rig down to the gas station to fill up and felt a bad vibration starting around 50 MPH. HMMMMM, what could it be, well did a little research and dug under the truck for awhile and BAM-- a bad U-Joint on the drive shaft. Quick trip to the parts store at 7:30 for a new one and now at 11PM finally fixed her up. Now good to go!

See you guys i the AM. :steer:

I'm waiting for some pictures here!

Well there was defenately some carnage....damn I hate that mud. I spent 30 minutes at the Heflin carwash cleaning that hole off my FJC before making the trip back home. Cannot wait to see the pics and hear how everything worked out for Eric.

I'll get my pics uploaded tomorrow, just too tired tonight. Glad you made it home Chris, Thanks again for the cable. Eric made it home ok, no word on the breakage yet but should have some info by Monday I hope. I haven't done a writeup in a awhile so I think I'm gonna do one for this trip, we had a good time in the mud pits. It was also good to see Steenh again, it's been too long since I've wheeled with him.

Oh, Olga took a boat load of pics so hopefully I can get my hands on them Monday night unless DD figures out how to upload them first.

I warned you guys about going across there but I understand. The trails on that side are more extensive and have in a lot of cases can be more fun. But getting back across that. Yikes. That hole is exactly where and how I got stuck the last time I was there. So my news. Weekend tally so far.

Gas $26:)
Food $12:)
Tiltbed from Heflin to Cobb County Toyota even with AAA $273:frown:
Rear diff.............................. Still waiting. Won't give anymore detail until I hear more.

If your not willing to risk a little breakage then how do you know you're having fun? It is all part of it. I did have fun!!! I will take the FJC out on the trails again. But, my focus will now shift to getting that mini ready for the trail.:bang:

Big thanks to::clap::clap::clap:
John, for the use of your trailer and tools that I was missing out of my bag. I have a list and will be adding them to my bag. And thanks for hauling my junk to the interstate.

Mike, for sacrificing his afternoon of wheeling to drive us back to ATL following the tiltbed.

Ted, fearless leader, for organizing this ride.

And to everyone else for giving Pam a warm welcome to our club.

Great friends, sloppy mud, and good times.

Eric

Eric, glad to hear you made it back. It was great seeing you again, brief as it was, and nice to meet Pam. Hope this wasn't her first trip out with you or you may never see her on the trail again!

Good luck with the diff...

Ted, it was good to get out with you guys again, and nice to meet some new folks. Definitely have to do it again...

I had my ebrake cable break which caused some not so good sounds... ended up getting home no problem, but definitely need to thank John and the guy in the Cherokee (really sorry I can't remember your name) for the offer to trailer me home. Glad I didn't regret not taking you up on the offer.

Til next time

got through that crap on the way into the mountain okay, had to jump out of the rut and bypass that one hole but still made. This pic was taken while I was headed back to Pillguy to winch him out from another hole. I tried to get out of the rut as before but there was just no way so... batten down the hatches we went in. :whoops:
