Please come to the club meeting at Rudy's Bar-B-Q, 315, S 31st St, Colorado Springs, CO 80904
Show up at 6:00 to eat dinner and socialize. We meet in the North West corner of the patio.
Meeting starts at 7:00. Buying food or drink is not required, just show up to socialize if you wish.

That fish and chips truck will be off Garden of the Gods today.

Meeting called to order 7:05pm

OFFICERS' REPORTS

  • President:
    • Presented the meeting agenda.
    • Presented By-law rewrite status and plan going forward. At a future date, the rewrite draft and the current By-laws will be emailed to the club members for review and voting at the January or February meeting.
  • Treasurer:
    • Finance report
    • $50 donation to CO4WDA made
    • Four members to be contacted to pay dues
    • Contact Josh N. re: old website. Vote approved to obtain the .com domain.
OLD BUSINESS

  • Recapped the FS379 and Bull Park trail run
  • A hat will be passed for club funding donations at the Christmas Party. This is to help offset our recent donations to Core and BRC.
NEW BUSINESS

  • Christmas tree cutting patrols will begin weekend after Thanksgiving, confirmed and posted by @LCPilot. Please sign up on each of the eight threads to be created if you plan to attend.
  • Christmas Party:
    • @wonderlc will host again and provide main course.
    • Members to bring salad/side/dessert courses
    • Planned for Dec. 9
    • @LCPilot posted a dedicated thread for planning.
  • 2026 Trail Schedule Planning
    • Jan. 10 - Schubarth snow run with chili and grilled cheese cookout
    • Feb. 21 - Cripple Creek Ice Festival. Roads TBD
    • Mar. 14 - Chinamen's Gulch & 4-Mile area trails. Pick and choose your preference.
    • Apr. 18 - Canon City area trails
  • The club voted to allow LCPilot to purchase the CO2 tank, as it has not been used in many months and everyone is using portable air compressors. A Marketplace search was performed and, based on multiple purchase histories, a price was agreed on and was paid to the Treasurer.
  • Nomad Cruisers requested through SAS to be able to keep the club banner and purchase a new one for the club. This made sense because the banner has TLCA symbols on it and our club is no longer an affiliate. Club President is working with Nomad to move forward on this item.

Meeting adjourned 7:50pm

If we get the .com website, what will we do with it? Will we merge the two and close one or the other? Running them both would seem silly.
It was discussed that we could control the .com domain and forward traffic to the .org site if you go to the .com site. At least, that is what I recall or envisioned.

I'd think it would make more sense to go the other way, and let the new one die off, although you probably have traffic insights that we don't.

I haven’t done too much concerning traffic insights on our .org domain, but I did build our Google account, which is where we store our club files, around the .org domain. I’ll have to reengage and make sure we could move to the .com domain.
