I have made the drive betweeen our old place in Steamboat Springs, CO and here about 6 times and every time St Louis was a pain.
On my way back last trip I missed my exit and took the wrong interstate out of St Louis. I blame it on mental anguish and heavy traffic. That town is a pain to get through.
Johnny! Me and tank are riding in the back of your 60! hahaha I read the first post and got excited, so when I go back and read the thread when I'm not at work, I'll make an honest response. But if we make a trip there, I'm gonna need to borrow a Trailer!

Either one of you still have room in ur rig? I might be ale to sneak away from work for a week. It would just be me with no 40. I could help out with gas, driving and travel light.
Im here in NC until 27 april. I will be done with work at 1100 am on tht day.
I need to know what ur itenerary looks like to know if I can make it happen.
I would love to go out there and do a little rcon of the area for my big trip in OCT.

As it stands, Johnny and I are leaving sometime during the night of the 26th, maybe wee hours of the morning on the 27th. MD11Fr8dog is leaving NC on Saturday or Sunday. My return trip is beginning on Sunday the 6th. Let me know what ya think about those dates cause you can ride with me. I can probably nudge my timeline if you wanna go bad enough. I have a buddy who said he is riding with me too so, with all chipping in, fuel won't be that bad.

Del, it'd be great to have you ride along, but Laura is coming with and we're going to drive around the southeast for a week or two. Mike sounds like he's got a free seat, so come along!
Moab ready
Getting Burt ready for rocker knocker. Just built and installed my sliders where my rockers used to be. 3/16 thick 2x3. Next up, finish rear bumper with swing out tire carrier. I'm using the kit from A to Z fabrication.

there will be carnage. They were really simple and cheap to make if you wanna copy the dimensions. I jacked up the truck on each of them and they only flexed about a quarter inch.

I'm going to do something very similar to that, but with the 2x2" 1/4 wall tube that Jerry has. I need to pick up some 1/4" plate to get to that...

Hopefully I won't be doing that. With Johnny as my spotter, the rollover should be catastrophic enough that I don't survive 
I think the obstacle that will be the most flip worthy on my trip is white knuckle hill. I don't think I have the clearance and the only way is nose down.

I don't remember what we're hitting, Rami. I know we're doing Pritchett and a couple other hard trails, but I don't remember when exactly.
I think we're going to be in Moab on Sunday before the event, stay for the week and then trek home the following weekend. When are you getting there?
I will be there Sunday. Not sure what time.
Hopefully early enough to do a short trail or just enjoy the town.

The trail assignment is Pritchett, Behind the Rocks, Golden Spike in that order. On tuesday I may take a ride to Telluride to see a couple friends, and Johnny u are welcome to join me. Other than that Johnny and I are soaking up some Moab for the week. We should arrive mid day on Sunday. Snuggie will be all across the country on this trip. Johnny, you get a camera yet?
