Mike and I are officially registered for Cruise Moab 2012. Utah, here we come
Just got off the phone with Mike. I'm registered as well. I just booked spot 179 at Slickrock Campground. Plenty of spots open next to mine, including the extra days you guys will be there, way better than KOA.

Ah, so you're the guy who is going with him. Excellent! The guys from GCLCNY rented a house for the week, so I'm in on that. They all said that the house was the way to go and because there's enough of us in on it, it's only $275 / person for the week.

I thought Michael told me he wanted to leave on the Thusday prior. I'm not sure I can go that early yet. I'm reserved at Slickrock 4/30-5/6. I was thinking leaving Sat,met to Denver Sat night and visit friends for a day, then get to Moab Mon night. That's if we can't score a 2 car hauler.
Meeting should happen prior to Moab.

How do you like this plan? Leave Thursday night, drive until we can't anymore. Get up on Friday and make it to Kansas City, then get some ribs and some shut eye. Get up on Saturday and drive to Denver and spend Saturday night there. Get up on Sunday, drive to Moab, get settled in.

I would love to but If I could go I would drive out in the 60 but now I plan vacation around things for little guy. Like a week off for his 1st birthday so we can be home and then the holidays.
That would be good route depending on speed you might only be driving 8hr or less a day. and must is You have to see the rockies during the day. There are a few lc guys in KC that might meet up with you for some ribs.
That sounds like a good plan. I think we can make it straight to Kansas city on the first leg. Last time I drove it myself I made it past St Louis only stopping for fuel. Now I have an extra driver.

8hrs/day? BK and I drove straight through to Rifle, CO, and finished the next morning. We came all the way back straight through too with me going straight home after dropping BK off. That one sucked.
Last time I went to cali. I drove from Amarillo, TX to Barstow, Ca in one leg that sucked! Just under a 1000 miles in one day! Have fun boys!
I drove that same route to Moab when I lived in NC and the only section to be concerned about is going through St. Louis. I timed it wrong and wasted over two hours in traffic.
