and you don't think these will snag trees worse than the elec??

i have the same set of elec on the tractor and have not lost them yet and i like to :"thread the needle"... you bump a branch and they just fold in...

Whats your guys' take on this style mirror?

In the way offroad or way cool? I have e-mirrors now and am thinking these are cool, but will pop off at the first branch.

I like to be able to adjust mine from the drivers seat. I use these OEM mirrors for the 75 cab chassis.
Not everyones cup of tea but they are strong and last

Over here these mirrors are not allowed as mains because you cannot adjust the drivers-side sitting on the seat.

Apart from that, these mirrors are so distant it will be hard to see clearly because of vibrations.

No, not what I would like, sorry. :frown::)

yah being that far forward I imagine it would be a pain to adjust. Heading thru the bush one bump and then you have to adjust again, again and again.

Show us the electric ones you have now. The electrics on my 80 fold in real easy in the bush. Kinda surprised me how easy they did fold in on their own.

i found the fender mounted mirrors gave me a better view of behind me without taking my eyes off the road...
for off road in the bush i can picture a branch going through the mounting hoop and doing damage...
i like those fender mounted mirrors MUCH better on the highway...

In the USA these mirrors are illegal as well. The Thinking from the US Fed is that your view can be obstructed bwteen you and mirror out on the fender, like in heavy rain or snow, etc.

I should clarify these are illegal as your primary side view mirror if you have the regular ones you can also have the fender ones, go figure.

Cheers,

Michael

Mine are on the door.

Mine are on the door.

Yes, can see that. Nothing wrong with that but Sniperx had a picture showing the mirrors far forward. At least at a spot where you cannot reach them sitting inside.
And then I think any vibration distorts the view, when they are that far away.

but have you personally tried them?

i have and the view is broader, less blind spots and no vibration of the image. you can see the passenger's face when looking in the mirror.

You tried these Wayne?I think the mirrors on a Pajero from the late 80s early 90s will fit a 60 series.
I had something like these on my 61 series but no one could tell me where they were from but they looked like Pajero.
They had 4 holes on the mounting plate but 2 of them lined up with Toyotas

yep, i had them on a BJ41, a BJ44 and a BJ74 (well the BJ74 belonged to a buddy), i really liked them but am nervous in the trees with the design...

of course i am talking the factory fender mounted ones, is that what you are refering to? or the chevy knock offs on your doors?
cheers

Nope:D:D. But that's why I've put "...I think..." in that sentence.
Only experience I have is with look-alikes and that was ages ago. Not even on a cruiser......:grinpimp::):):):grinpimp:
