I have not found anybody ELABORATING on the mini-truck PS conversion, so I gotta ask some questions. I've done a lot of research, and it SOUNDS like I want to do the mini-truck PS conversion because I have no access to a welder, or plate/channel/tube stock. I've looked at Iron Pig's box mount.

Q. with the IP box mount, is it literally a BOLT-IN ('75-'84 mini truck parts), pump mount, steering u-joint shaft?

If it is NOT a complete bolt-in, do I need to fab a pump mount, or are they available aftermarket to bolt to an F engine? Also, what needs to be done to mate the 55 steering shaft to the mini box?

Please, direct me to an already published thread, if one exists. I can deal with "bolt-in", but I am always suspicious, and don't want to put my rig down and discover I need to weld something up; I'd like to know beforehand.

ALSO, there's a guy on Ebay selling what he describes as "everything you need" to bolt mini truck PS on a 55 (or 45, or '59 Ford, etc). I asked him specifically if it included the mounts for the box and pump for a 55, and he basically said "yes". Anybody have experience with such a person?

YES! Thank you!

I used the IPOR adaptor and mini box. All is direct bolt in on my 76. I used a 60 pump and plumbed in the mini truck "U" shaped cooler...such as it is.

Did the 60 pump install directly with the 60 bracket?

Is a cooler necessary?
